Whenever I do read a book
I sit down and so enjoy
This wondrous thing with lovely words
That spins a tale about a ploy

The scheming minds do set at stake
To ruin all thats true and fair
And dont you know they cant succeed
     For people always seem prepared

Reading seems to take me away
And position me in the tale
So I become a part of it
Scheming but to no true avail

In one I am a sorceress
Later, Im one who wields a blade
I help those just in need of it
Grateful are the people I aid

All of this occurs when I read
As startling as this may seem
This event I do so enjoy
And its better than ANY dream
