     What should you do
     When you're caught
     Stuck, deciding
     Should you stay friends or go beyond?

     But, if you go beyond
     You risk the friendship
     The heartbreak
     The pain

     I tell you the truth
     Though they claim to stay friends
     You will not be friends
     Not the same friends, anymore

     There will be changes
     Small, but there
     You will separate
     Your own indiviual ways

     No more communication
     Because you said it
     And they don't want it
     A relationship, that is

     Staying friends, or going beyond
     To go beyond can bring things
     Happy things, good feelings
     If it works

     But if it doesn't
     The tearing, the crying
     The eternal gap
     The loss of a friend

     I caution you
     Even best friends can be broken
     The bond lost, flapping
     No longer existent

     So which way to go
     Either way holds danger
     And I can't reassure you
     That it will turn out all right

     In the end
     What was there can not be replaced
     So choose carefully
     Your path; your course

     Once it's set
     Too late to regret
     Can't backtrack
     You're stuck, that's that
