A rose is just a flower
Sometimes deadly, or unique
Whose petals curve up, lush and soft
Striving to reach the highest peak
A rose is more that just sight
It smells so dreamy, too
That wonderful, powerful scent
Is a secret gift from me to you
A rose is just a plant
With nothing special to hold it high
Just a small green stem shooting up from the ground
And thorns scattered along the sides
A rose holds a special meaning
One that says I love you
But when I see that small meek flower
I only see death, destruction, and blue
A roses flower is usually red
So soft and toneless to me
Yet one should not always trust their sight
For their are thorns, and spiky leaves
A rose is just a flower
Sweet smelling like a dream
A dream that turns into a dreadful one
For things just arent what they seem
