A girl arrives and looks around
But nothing good can be found
Because she seems so very lost
No one accepting, such a cost

All groups of friends turn their backs
And no one opening, and she lacks
The people skills to change their minds
About their feelings, what they think behind

She always tries to fit inside
But somehow it never works when she tries
And she remains a tag along
     Never accepted, always wrong

     She remains mostly alone
Hiding her feelings from hearts of stone
Looking for that one true friend
That will accept her, no matter what end

     People annoyed glare at her
Wondering why that such a cur
Would be around all the time
When they dont want that piece of slime

And inside she mopes and cries
Always hoping but still does sigh
Because everyone locks their hearts away
And turn their backs and do not stay

They talk not to this one lone girl
Hard she does try to make them unfurl
But it is to naught and she bows her head
A heavy feeling, as hard as lead

She walks away and stays outside
And to no one she can confide
Because shes stuck the way she is
Silent, hurt, and still no whiz

All in all, a tag along
Never quite part of the throng
     Always pushed to the side
     Never talked to, always shied

     Tag along, she does feel
For no one accepts her as for real
Instead, they turn their backs and talk
And so she is so forced to walk

Alone this tag along does stay
     Feeling sad throughout the day
But nothing can at all be done
Except start over, which is no fun

So left apart, she has no choice
And to this she does not rejoice
But maybe one day, it all will change
This tag along, no longer estranged

A group of friends is all she wants
But no one accepting, and it haunts
Her very thoughts and wishes too
To be friends with me or you

That group of friends that shed fit in
Is all she wants, someone like kin
But they are not to be found
Not here today, not on this ground

     Tag along she remains
And everything, through all her pain
She looks on so sadly still
Waiting for that change of will

I tell you now what is right
Open your hearts to her poor plight
     Welcome those that seem apart
     Accept those with open heart

Let the lesson now be learned
And let no other person now be spurned
Because no one likes to be alone
And you may find out what was not shown

Meet a new person, make a friend
Be not afraid to make amends
So go and meet that tag along
And invite her in so she belongs
