| APOSTLES' CREED I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again, He ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. GLORY BE TO THE FATHER Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and shall ever be, world without end. Amen I CONFESS I confess to almighty God, and to you here present, that I have sinned through my own fault in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do; and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, here present to pray for me to the Lord our God. ACTS OF SORROW (i) Father, I have sinned against you, and am not worthy to be called your child. Be merciful to me a sinner. (ii) Lord Jesus, Son of the Living God, be merciful to me, a sinner. (iii) O my God, I am very sorry that I have sinned against you, and with your help I will not sin again. |
