Swami looked at someone and asked why he did not come in the morning. "I went to the committee meeting", he replied. Swami said, "Committee means? O! Come for tea meetings, no ? That is, until after the tea is over, no resolutions will be passed. Attending a committee meeting is only for tea!"

A devotee once suggested to Swami that he has the power to solve all India's financial problems by transforming the Indian Ocean into oil. Swami replied, "If I did, someone like you would probably toss a lighted match into it".
