Epilogue
----------------------------
Leiyunn laughed out as he flashed out the ancient book from underneath his jacket and Yelan immediately leashed out in anger, "How dare you steal the treasure of our Li Clan?"
"You are powerless to stop me right now," Leiyunn taunted and looked at Syaoran, who was holding Sakura in his arms and kneeling on the ground. Sakura was gasping for air the same time.
"How can you be so ungrateful?" Syaoran shouted. "She saved your life! Leiyunn!"
Leiyunn marched towards Syaoran and stood towering over the duo and raised the barrel of his gun to point at Syaoran's forehead. "Too bad you are going with her!"
With that, another shot was fired and Meiling shouted out in stark terror while Yelan squeezed her eyes shut and wept softly, not bearing to watch any longer.
"What?" Leiyunn shouted, shocked by what he saw.
A soft glow was protecting Syaoran and Sakura, who were encased in a protective bubble. Sakura had her hands raised up, sustaining the shield. "O key of Clow, power of magic, power of light. Surrender the wand, the forces ignite! Release!" she shouted.
The ancient book tore free from Leiyunn's hands and floated in the mid-air, shooting brilliant rays of light everywhere, bringing hope to everyone.
"How can this be happening?" Leiyunn asked, trembling in fear.
"Sword card! Release and dispel!" Sakura shouted and a sword materialized in her outstretched hand.
Touya, who had managed to tear free from the guards picked up the Kamikaze sword and trapped Leiyunn between him and Sakura. "Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo shouted.
"I am fine!" Sakura shouted back her reply to reassure the panic-stricken Tomoyo, who had promised her father to keep her safe. "Syaoran's fine too!"
"You can remember? You aren't hurt?"
Sakura smiled and answered, "The Clow key protected me."
Making use of her distraction, Leiyunn seized Sakura and made her his hostage. "Make way or she will get it!"
"Don't let him get away!" Sakura shouted and was immediately crushed by Leiyunn's forceful arms. She winced in pain.
Sakura glanced at the Clow book above her and remembered another card's name, "Illusion card!"
Darkness washed over the area as Leiyunn was trapped in his own illusioned world. Sakura pulled away from Leiyunn's grasp and Yelan's group of guards brought him to the jail, where the effects of illusion wore off. "Let me out! I am the leader!"
-------------------------------------------------
Sakura ran to hug Meiling and laughed; it has been a long while since she last saw her. Though only a month has just past. "Thank goodness you are all right, Sakura!"
Touya clamped his hand on Syaoran's shoulder and the latter looked up, "Nani?"
"What is going on in your mind?"
"I don't know. I knew you told me I've met Sakura when we were young but I just could not remember," Syaoran told him dejectedly and received a slap on his back.
"If Sakura is going to marry you, I won't forbid it," Touya said and walked away, embarrassed that he had said such a thing.
Syaoran turned to look at Sakura, who was showing concern for her fellow friends, who had followed her from Japan, and smiled tenderly before walking away. He was stopped as someone had her arms around him and hugging him from his back. "Don't leave me again," Sakura pleaded.
He, in turn, turned back and hugged Sakura and told her earnestly, "I thought that you are going to die and I was very afraid."
"I am still here Syaoran."
The Clow book floated between them and Syaoran looked at it in awe and stared hard at it, as if it held a special place in his mind. He relaxed and closed his eyes, a smile lingering on his lips.
-------------------------------------------------
A few years later...
It was already late at night but his son did not seem to be asleep yet and was crying for attention though he was only a few month's old. Sakura was already deep asleep for she was tired from a day of work and that left with Syaoran to take care of his son.
"Do you know, son?" Syaoran asked gently, toying with the little hand of his son. "That you must not look down on ladies and think that they are weak."
His son just looked at him and blinked his eyes as Syaoran continued to talk.
"There was a time a man pretend to be a thief to lure the real thief out and when he saw this lady appearing in front of him one night, he knew that." he trailed off upon hearing footsteps that were achingly familiar to him.
"Knew what, Syaoran?" Sakura prompted, smiling at him.
"He knew that she was his guardian angel."
