Episode XIII
Episode XIII – The fists of God…
The urge of gaining more power… or greed as it’s more known, poisons people of any gender, race and status. Does the world want to be pillaged by people who cared only for themselves and not others? Why does life allow it to happen? Do people do it in their own will or there something that forces them to do it?

It’s a bright day, another week of studying comes to a close. Many people are enjoying the peace and bright morning today in Tomoeda. Kaede is resting after doing homework, he’s sleeping very soundly and without any problems weighing him down.
Downstairs, Saemi is trying to call him. “Oni-chan!”
“Saemi, Kaede-san is sleeping now…” Kasumi said.
“Eh? Why? It’s almost noon!”
“He did lots of work during night, he’s very tired and needs to rest.”
“Oh ok…” Saemi said.
“Saemi-chan!!!” Her friends said.
“Oh, Oka-san… I’ll play with my friends ok?”
“Ok… just be careful…”
Saemi went to her friends and started playing.
“My children…” Kasumi reflected.
--== Li’s House ==--
“Meilin! Lunch is ready!” Li said.
“Okay!” Meilin goes to the dining room.
Li is the cook in the house, he’s really good and is selfless about it. Meilin enjoys his food very much, though she’s a bit sad and wants to cook for him just once. But sadly, her cooking skills pretty much sucked.

“Meilin? Are you going to eat or not?” Li asked.
“Oh, sorry…”
They started eating.
“Is there something wrong?” Li asked.
“There is… I can’t get it out of my mind. Why didn’t you help Kinomoto-san in her battle? She almost died there!” Meilin said.
Li looks down, not saying anything.
“That’s my problem! You didn’t say a single word about that! You only fell silent haven't said anything! There must be something wrong with you!” Meilin added.
Li had enough of her. “IS THIS WHY YOU WANT TO TALK TO ME?”
Meilin feels scared. “Syaoran! I’m just saying the truth! Please tell Kinomoto-san why! That’s all! There’s nothing else!”
But Li can’t control himself any longer. He pushed the plates and the food away. He’s very angry.
“I DON’T LIKE THE TONE OF YOUR VOICE! IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT WELL, I DON’T WANT TO! GO AWAY!”
Those words shattered Meilin’s heart. “Syaoran…”
Then, he throws a plate at her.
CRASH! The plate shattered.
She’s so terrified now. “Syaoran… that’s not you… that’s… not… you…” She bursts into tears.
It took a while for him to regain his senses again and feels stupid about what happened. “Oh no… what have I done!” Li said. He sees Meilin, terrified.
“Meilin…”
“…”
He tries to give her a hand, but she covers herself and continues to cry.
“I’m a fool…” Li picks up the broken plates. He knows that he hurt her emotionally, what was he thinking?
“Syaoran… why?” Meilin continues to cry.
--== Sakura’s House ==--
“Sakura?” Kero looked at her.
It seems that Sakura suddenly thought of something, for she isn’t moving.
“Hello!” Kero flies around her.
“Eh? Oh Kero-chan!” She regained her senses.
“Is there something wrong with you? You’re staring at the wall for a few minutes now…”
“Oh… eh?” She is staring at the wall.
“HOE!!!”
“Now she’s ok…” Kero said.
“I’m sorry, I just that I felt something…” Sakura apologizes.
“Huh? What is it?” Kero asked.
“Something… I feel pain in my heart…”
Then, tears started to fall in her eyes. “Why am I crying? I don’t feel crying but, tears are falling…”
“I wonder…” Kero is puzzled.
“Did something happen? I hope not…”

--== Outside of Kaede’s House ==--

A woman is there, waiting. She presses the doorbell.
DING DONG!
Kasumi sees the girl and goes to see her.
“Oh Iris-chan! May I help you with something?” She asked.
“Um… Is Kaede-san home?” Iris said.
“Oh, he’s inside… wait, I’ll call him.” She opens the gate. “Come in…”
But she’s a bit shy. “No thanks, I’ll stay here.”
“But it’s better for you to be inside… come…”
Iris agreed and went inside the house. “I feel embarrassed…” Iris said.
“It’s ok, please feel comfortable with our house.” Kasumi said.
“Ok…”
“Do you want anything?”
“Oh, no thanks…”
“Okay, Kaede-san will be here shortly.”
Iris looks at his house, it’s a typical house, but it’s beautiful… “Wow…”
Kaede heads downstairs. “Oh, hello Iris!”
“Kaede-san… nice to meet you again.” Iris said.
“You too… ok you’re ready?”
“Yup!”
Kaede and Iris will go on a date, she asked him to see the sights and sounds of Tomoeda more, since she doesn’t go outside that much and she can’t see.
“Kaede-san, please take care and Iris-san too…” Kasumi said.
“Okay… we going now!” Kaede leaves.
Iris bows to Kasumi and the two left to enjoy their date.
“Iris… it must be hard for her since she’s handicapped.” Kasumi thought.

“The evil is getting stronger…” A woman said.
“Yes… he is showing signs of his defiance…” Another woman said.
“The Messiah must put an end to him before he gains all of his power…”
“But, he doesn’t have all of the weapons and the spirits yet…”
“Looks like it’s my turn now…” A man walks forward and shows his face to them.
“Ying! Your test is way too early for him to take!”
“He’s so interesting… that’s why I want to give him the power of the gloves…” Ying said.
“But… it’s very dangerous! He might get killed by you!”
“If he is, sorry… I don’t fight along with weaklings…”
Suddenly, Ying changed into another person. “Don’t worry, I won’t be that harsh…”
“Yang! You agree to him too?”
“Yes… the earlier the better, that way he can prepare more for the more enduring battles that will happen.”
Yang turned back to Ying. “So, I’ll be off then! Well, see you girls again! I hope…”
He teleported away.
“Are you sure that he’s ready for the test?”
“I hope… I only hope…”
--== Li’s House ==--

“What’s wrong with me?” Li looked himself at the mirror.
Li regrets doing those harsh things to Meilin. He feels so responsible if she breaks down emotionally. “I have to apologize to her…”
He went to her room. Meilin covered herself in bed sheets. She seems still so frightened at Li.
“Meilin… I’m… I’m sorry for what I did.”
She emerges from the bed sheets. “Syaoran…” Meilin’s tears continue to fall.
“I’m not myself when I said harsh things to you… It’s true…”
Meilin looks at him in the eye. “I’m still the same old Syaoran…” He hugs her.
“Syaoran… no… you shouldn’t do this…”
But Li didn’t listen. “I just want to make you feel that I’m sorry for what I have done.”
Being sorry? Or is this another… it could be…
“Stop it! Please!” Meilin resisted.
But Li grips her even harder.
“No! It hurts!” Meilin continues to scream.
“I won’t stop until you feel better…” Li starts to kiss her.
“It’s not you! That’s not the Syaoran that I know!” Meilin starts crying again.
At that point Li stopped, he seems shocked.
“Syaoran?”
He looks at her and smiled. “I’m sorry… I guess I better control myself…” Li taps her head.
“Syaoran…”
“I’m ok now… get some rest…” Li leaves.
Meilin could only wonder why Li is like that. “Why? Why is this happening to you?”
--== On with Kaede and Iris’ date ==--
Switch Background Music: Card Captor Sakura OST 2, Track 9.
They visited many places already, and the two have lots of fun. Though Iris is blind, she feels the beauty of Tomoeda. They eat at a restaurant as Iris’ treat.
“This is kinda embarrassing… You’re paying for this. I’ll pay ok?” Kaede said.
But she holds his hand, preventing him to pick his wallet up. “Don’t worry, besides… you helped me already…” Iris smiled.
“Oh… but…”
“It’s ok…”
The food is being served.
“So… let’s eat now…” Kaede said.
“Yup!”
“Itadakimasu!”
-= Minutes Later =-
“I’m full…” Kaede is finished eating.
“Me too…” Iris said.
“It’s getting dark now… let me escort you to your home…”
“Okay…”
They left the restaurant. As they head to Iris’ house, they talked.
“You know… you have a hard time to enjoy life…” Kaede said.
“Why? Is it because that I’m blind?” Iris asked.
“Kinda… since you don’t see the beauty of the places and people. It must have been tough to go on with life.”
“Yes… I had bad experiences because of this handicap. But you know, it made me stronger…”
“That is right, problems are there for people to be stronger and brave the world even more.”
“That’s right, Kaede-san…”
“You are strong… I mean, you live life like normal people and you can cast magic… you’re quite lucky…” Kaede said.
“No… it’s just destiny that’s the reason why I am who I am today.” Iris smiled.

But as they walk, someone blocked their path.

“Hey! Why are you blocking our way?” Kaede demanded.
“You better bite your tongue… or you will regret it…” He releases energy.
“This… this is magic!” Iris said.
“You’re right… who are you!”
“Hmm… unfortunately, you have to defeat me if you want to know…” The man said. He releases a sphere, which sends the two in another place.
“It’s a dimension shift! He’s sucking us up to another place!” Kaede said.
“Kaede-san!” Iris fell to the shift.
“Iris!” Kaede has no choice but to be sucked in.
“Ha! Now I can do my test to prove his worth!” He also heads to the dimension shift.
--== Eriol’s House ==--
“That aura… Kaede!” Eriol said.
Ever since the Mansion in which Clow Reed once lived was demolished, Eriol stayed in England to pursue in his studies more. But on his return, he easily created a nice house near the site where the Mansion, which now became an amusement park, is.
“Eriol… is it true?” Kaho asked.
“I’m sure… something bad happened to him.”
“Then we must rescue him!” Nakuru appears.
“Yes… while we still have a chance…” Suppi also appeared.
“Ok… let’s go…” Eriol prepared.
“Sakura and Li must have felt it too…” Eriol thought.
But unfortunately, Sakura doesn’t feel it.
-= Quickly shifts to Sakura’s House =-
“Sakura? Are you sure that you don’t feel anything?” Kero asked.
“Yes… I don’t. There isn’t bad happening right now, maybe you play games too much…” Sakura replied.
“This is strange… I feel that something’s wrong but Sakura doesn’t… am I just making it up?” Kero thought.
“Kero-chan, If you don’t’ want this pudding, I’ll eat it!” Sakura said.
“Hey! I want to eat pudding!” Kero picks up a spoon and starts eating.“Maybe I’m just making that up… oh well…”
--== Paranoia ==--
Background Music Reference: Card Captor Sakura OST 2, Track 21.
“Where… are we?” Iris recovers.
“I’m not sure…” Kaede said.
“Wait… this is similar to what happened to Sakura…” He thought.
“Welcome… I hope the trip here wasn’t that bumpy…” The man shows up again.
“What do you want from us?” Iris asked.
“I only want one thing… it’s the Messiah.”
“Huh?” Kaede said.
“I’m sorry, I haven’t introduced myself… I am Yang, and I m one-half of myself.” Yang introduces himself.
“What do you want from me?” Kaede asked.
“I’m here to test you… I think it’s time for me to do my test, I hope you’re successful…”
Yang changed to Ying. “If not, I will kill you!” Ying said.
“What the? He changed…” Kaede wondered.
“Kaede-san… it seems like he has a dual personality.” Iris said.
“I think you’re right.”
Ying walks toward them. “You’re right… the person so see here is still me, only that I changed. This is my more carefree side…” Ying said.
“Yeah… it shows…” Kaede said.
"I don’t want to waste my time just talking, come on! Messiah can you beat the God of the fists?”
“Kaede-san! No, I’ll help you!” Iris holds to him.
“I’m sorry, you’re going to be just a spectator!” Ying uses magic at her.
Iris was sent down, and a magic barrier seals her in. “Let me out!” She demanded.
“You’re going to stay there till the fight is over. Pray that his life won’t be over by then!” Ying laughed.
Kaede immediately attacks.
SLASH!
Madoushi slashed Ying’s clothes.
“I didn’t expect you to attack so quickly like that. Why, you want to die so badly?”
“Let Iris go! You want to fight, it’s with me!” Kaede is angry.
“Now… you’re ready… let’s get down to business!” Ying powers up and charges at him.
Kaede starts an incantation.
Weapon of pure lightning, unleash! Unleash your electrical might!
Madoushi lets out a howl! Raienjin!
The two, with their attacks, collided in a powerful explosion.
BOOOMMM!!!
--== At the dimension entrance ==--
“This is the source of the energy.” Eriol said.
Eriol, Kaho, Ruby Moon and Spinel Sun arrived at the scene. Kaede is nowhere to be found, all they see is the dimensional entrance.
“Is this where Kaede is sent to?” Kaho felt.
“Hmm… his aura is inside that…” Spinel Sun said.
“Come on! Let’s go inside and rescue him!” Ruby Moon said.
But Eriol didn’t agree. “We have to wait first, Sakura and Li aren’t here yet…”
“They can just follow us in here right?” Ruby Moon asked.
“Eriol… there isn’t much time, I feel that Kaede’s energy is slowly weakening…” Kaho said.
“Alright… let’s go…”
They head in following the dimension to where Kaede and Iris are.
But Eriol feels that there’s something not right about this. “Sakura… Li… why you didn’t show up this time?”
--== Paranoia ==--
“You fool… you think you can beat me with that only?” Ying laughs.
It seems that Raienjin didn’t work against him. Ying grabs Kaede by the neck and starts choking him out.
“Kaede-san!” Iris can only witness the brutality.
“You can’t beat me!” He continues to choke him.
“AHHHH!!!” Kaede is losing air.
“NOOOO!!!” Iris can only cry.
But Ying turned to Yang and releases his grip, dropping Kaede to the floor.
“Cough… cough…” Kaede is catching his breath.
“I’m sorry… it’s just that one side of me is so bent on fighting, he can’t grasp what is the reason for us to challenge you.” Yang apologizes.
“I seem to get the point, you guys are opposites…” Kaede stands up.
“You’re right, our name is based on the balance of two forces, the Ying and Yang. Positive and Negative. We have different skills to use, an we have two different personalities…” Yang explained.
“Oh… I get it now… so let’s finish this fight…” Kaede said.
“The sooner the better…” Yang attacks again.
“Kaede! Stinger won’t work against him! We have to use something else!” Alastor said.
“I’m thinking… but what can I use? Ah!”
“Kaede… be careful, he knows your next move…” Clow said.
“Huh?”
Yang appears at his back and punches at his face. He goes flying. The Earthy Card slowly falls to the ground.
“I know that Alastor’s skills won’t work against me, so you resorted to Clow’s… unfortunately, you can’t do that to me either.”
“Both of my spirits are useless against him! I’m in big trouble here.”
Yang slowly walks toward him, he shows his gauntlets to Kaede, they are burning hot.
“This is Mars, the fists of God. They burn like the intense heat of the sun… this is the reason why I’m fighting you right now. I want you to have these gauntlets to make to even stronger, but you must be worthy for me…” Yang said.
“So, the reason you brought us here is to obtain these gauntlets?”
“Yes… it is another test that you must complete if you want to stop the Fate from destroying the world.”
“Well… let’s finish this now… I want to see it myself…” Kaede said.
“I understand…” Yang’s gauntlets are charging up energy.
Iris feels so helpless at this situation. “I’m sorry… I can’t do anything…” She starts crying again.
But Kaede smiled at her. “Don’t worry… I promise that I will win…”
She feels his spirit is so at peace… she wants to believe that he can do it. “I know you can… I will never doubt you…”
“You’re ready?” Yang asked.
“I am…” Kaede replied.
And they strike again, Kaede is hit in the body. He tries to slash back to him but the sword just bounced, not affecting him at all.
“Madoushi didn’t work! What now!”
He falls to the ground, Yang follows up with another punch. It hits him. He continues punching him again and again. There’s no stopping…
Iris cries, feeling that Kaede is not only losing the battle, but also his life. “No… Kaede-san…”
“This will end it…” Yang charges his right hand.
This may be the final blow; Kaede is helpless.
“I can’t move… my face is so bloody I can’t see much… looks like I’m done for…”
“It’s nice fighting against you, but it’s the end.” Yang attacks one last time.
“NOOOOOO!!!” Iris screamed.
Then, a beam hits Yang, knocking him to the other side.
“Kaede! Are you alright?”
Eriol, Kaho, Ruby Moon and Spinel Sun appear just in time.
“Guys… thanks… I thought I’m done for…” Kaede said.
“Kaede… you’re beaten up pretty badly… here, let me take care of you.” Kaho wipes the blood away from his face.
Spinel Sun destroyed the barrier, freeing Iris.
“Are you okay?” Spinel Sun asked.
“Yes… thank you…” Iris replied. She heads to Kaede, still can’t move.
“Kaede-san… if I can only help you even just a bit… you will still be okay…” Iris cries.
“It’s ok…” Kaede slowly lifts his hand and wipes Iris’ tears away. She holds onto his hand.
“Kaede… is that guy giving you a hard time?” Eriol asked.
“Yeah…”
Yang turned back to Ying. Now things turn for the worst.
“STOP MEDLING!!!” Ying attacks Eriol’s group viciously.
Eriol and others are hurt badly in just one blow.
“He’s strong…” Spinel Sun passed out.
“Wow, I've never seen a guy punch so hard!” Ruby Moon is still standing, despite incredible pain she feels.
“Kaede… Iris… you guys okay…” Eriol lost consciousness.
“He’s very powerful… Kaede…” Kaho coughs blood out.
“Kaede-san…” Iris crawls to him.
He slowly stands up. “Ying! How dare you hurt my friends! This fight just between you and me. I won’t forgive you for that!”
“They interfered in our fight! So I just blasted them away! Hahahahahahahaha!” Ying laughs.
“That’s it… I had enough of your yapping!” Ruby Moon attacks.
“Ruby Moon! Stop!” Kaede said.
But its too late, she attacks Ying. Ruby Moon uses magic…
Destroy those who impede on my path! Crystals of magic, combine and destroy!
Ruby Moon unleashes! Pure Ice!
Huge ice spikes fall at hits Ying.
“This is so interesting! So interesting!” Ying laughs.
“Why are you laughing? You’re losing right?”
“As a matter of fact, you are the one who is losing!” Ying disappeared.
“Where… where is he?” She looks around.
Then he appears behind her.
“There you are!” Ruby Moon attacks.
Ruby Moon lets out a howl! Moon Slash!
A huge crescent is created using her arms, it hits Ying, but it didn’t hurt him.
“What?”
His image slowly dissolves…
“NO! It’s an illusion!” She founds out.
But it’s too late, Ying attacks her at the side at point blank range.
“Too bad… well, that life anyway… HA!”
Ying delivers a punch straight to her stomach.
“AHHH!!!” Ruby Moon coughs blood out.
“And now… see you in the afterlife…”
Ying unleashes! Katana!
It hits her in the head, and sends her crashing down.
“NO!” Kaede can only look.
Ruby Moon tries to stand up, but it’s hopeless.
“Oh crap… I took a lot of beating…” She lost consciousness.
Ying floats down, continues to laugh.
“You… darn it!” Kaede curses him.
“Well, that’s what they get when they mess with me!” Ying walks near to him.
Switch Background Music: Card Captor Sakura OST 2, Track 25.
“Master! Get out while you can! You can’t hurt him!” Alastor said.
“Alastor is right… his power is too different to you at this point…” Clow added.
But he simply stands there and smiles. “Thanks but no thanks… if I take that offer… I would fail this test…”
Kaede slowly walks forward.
“But Master! You’re hurt so badly!”
“That’s ok…”
“You really want to die now… well, it’s nice meeting you, but you are too weak to battle Fate… it’s a sad fact that you’re the last one but I guess it’s Fate…” Ying rushes towards him.
“Kaede-san! Watch out!” Iris screamed.
“Kaede!” Eriol barely stands up.
But he continues to smile, as if he doesn’t care anymore. It’s like he wanted to die…
“If you want that, I accept!” Kaede throws Madoushi at Ying.
He simply deflected the sword away.
“Do you think that will work? You’re so desperate!” Ying readies.
“Maybe… but maybe not!”
“DIE!!!” Ying unleashes another skill.
Ying uses Mars! Unleashes Fear!
The two collided, a massive explosion occurred.
BBBOOOMMM!!!
“NOOOOO!!!” Iris cried.
There’s lot of smoke, Iris and others crawl to see what happened. The smoke clears away and…
“Kaede!” Everyone said.
Kaede and Ying are still standing, Ying’s arm is near to Kaede’s chest, about just an inch away. But he stopped instead, he seems to be frightened by something.
“What happened?” Spinel Sun wondered.
“Kaede-san…” Iris anxiously waits.
Upon closer look… Kaede won…
“I… didn’t expect you have them… that’s why I felt fear inside me the first time I saw you…” Ying changes to Yang.
Kaede draws Kinomoto/Daidouji out in time. Both pistols are aimed at his head.
“I know now… you may be harsh in beating me up but you’re right… I need to be stronger in order to stop Fate.”
"That’s right… you understand it fully…”
Yang puts his hands down and stands up. “I am impressed by your will to fight… that’s enough for me…”
“So… is this the end of the test?” Kaede asked.
“Yes… Both of my personalities will aid you in your battles and hardships… and take Mars with you… you deserve it well…” Yang smiled.
“Thank you…”
“Now… end this test right now…”
“You’re right.”
BANG BANG BANG!
Kaede shoots him rapidly, hitting his head again and again. Yang falls down.
He walks up to him and touches his hands.
“You will encounter more hardships this time… but they will make you stronger. Those will help you against the Conqueror…”
“I understand…” Kaede said.
“Let me rest for a while… I want to recover my strength so that I can help you out…”
Yang slowly dissolves, and is being absorbed by Kaede…
“I feel you inside… you’re the third Sacred Spirit…”
Kaede successfully passed the test! Attained Sacred Spirit Ying/Yang!
Switch Background Music: Card Captor Sakura OST 1, Track 25.
Everyone runs at him.
“That was incredible… you continue to amaze me…” Eriol said.
“You’re really something!” Ruby Moon hugs him tightly.
“Hey! Not too tight!” Kaede said.
“Oops! Sorry!”
Kaho congratulated him. “I never doubted you during that fight… you have done well…”
“Thanks Kaho…”
Iris came to him, crying. “WAAAHHH!!!”
“It’s ok now…”
The place slowly turned back. They are back in Tomoeda.
“Well… it’s over…” Spinel Sun said.
“Yeah… what a day!” Ruby Moon transformed back to Nakuru.
“Eh? How come she can do that?” Iris felt the transformation.
“Iris… it’s a long story…” Eriol said.
As they celebrate, Kaede looked at Mars, the flaming gauntlets said to be the fists used by God.
“The third weapon… I feel its immense power already.” Kaede said.
“Mars gives its user unparallel fighting ability in the martial arts. It bears the fire element and can cause serious damage to the enemy…” Clow explained.
“Thanks for the information…”
“Master! I’m so proud! You’re getting stronger and stronger! If we continue this, we can beat Fate!” Alastor said.
“We have a better chance now…”
Kaho walks up to him.
“Kaede… you are truly the Messiah, I’m glad that I met you…”
“Thank you…” Kaede said.
But there is something that bothers him. “Kaho… why didn’t Sakura and Li felt this?”
“I’m not sure why… but there is something that is very wrong…” Kaho can only speculate.
As the events happen, Sakura is sleeping soundly, as if nothing has happened. But Kero definitely felt the presence.
“I knew it… it was true… but why didn’t Sakura feel it at all?” Kero wondered.
As the group heads home, someone is standing at a power line, he seems to witness all the action occurred.
“You have the third weapon Messiah… I didn’t expect you could gain so much power at a short time… I look forward for our meeting again… Hope you can still win because I won’t be forgiving this time around!”
He disappeared.
