Again I would like to make it clear that I DO NOT own clamp and its cardcaptor sakura characters. This fanfiction was strictly created by my own brains!! I did not steal this from other people.
Best Friends Forever- Chapter 2
Back at Sakura's house
"You were so mean then! You even called me stupid! I was really sad, but now you've really changed Li," Sakura said when it came to the thunder card.
While eating some cake, Sakura had brought her Sakura cards down and Li and Sakura were talking and chatting about whether they had caught it together or Sakura caught it herself.
"I like the flower card the best," Sakura pointed out. "Even though she made the whole school field fill with flowers she didn't do it on purpose. She was pretty and the flowers were really nice too," Sakura rang out. "Which card do you like Li?" she asked, realizing that she was doing all the talking while Li sat quietly in the corner.
"I'll have to say all of them," Li finally spoke out.
"Hah?" Sakura said surprisingly.
"Because of them then I was able to come to Japan and help you capture them right? And if any one of them wasn't there, then our memories together wouldn't be that deep. I wouldn't even be here with you if it wasn't for the cards," Li said.
Sakura had tears in her eyes; she was touched and sad as well. She sprang at Li and hugged him. "I wish you didn't have to go tommorrow. I'll miss you a lot. I don't know when you will be coming back I'm so sad..." Sakura finally blurted out.
Li felt his heart throbbing. He hadn't felt this way before and also felt sad. He felt very surpisingly warm and had feeling that he loved Sakura a lot- not as a friend but even more. He was silent for quite a while till Sakura let go of him.
He finally spoke up, "We can still write letters to each other and..." he realized that he had to say what was in his heart. "I like you and..." Li blushed.
"Hah? I didn't hear you Syoran-kun after you said that we could write letters to each other what did you say after that?" Sakura asked.
Li shook his head.He didn't want Sakura to hear what he just said. If she had heard him then she might get sad and never talk to him again he didn't want that.
"No, Syaoran-kun I really wanted to hear what you had just said," Sakura pleaded.
Li obeyed. "I said that I liiked you."
"Hah??"Sakura replied. She looked really suprised then she blushed.
"Oh well, it's getting late already!" Li spoke. "It's already 4.00p.m.. It's not that late but I still have some stuff to do so I need to go home. Tommorrow is a Japanese holiday, will you come and send me to the aiport?" Li asked.
"I can't!" Sakura was still red in the face. "I promised Chiharu, Naoko, Rikka, and Tomoyo that I have to go and do a project with them from 11a.m. to 4.00p.m. I'm sorry I can't make it but..."
Li cut in. "It's fine you can still write letters to me."
He ran out Sakura's house and disappeared around the corner. Sakura with tears in her eyes sank into a cusion. "I love you too, Li!" she said softly.
Li was back in his own house packing his clothes and looking very sad.
"Sakura," he muttered.
It was the next morning at around 11a.m.. Sakura's friends arrived at her house to do the project. Tomoyo came the earliest because she had to bring Kero along. Sakura told Tomoyo everything that happened yesterday.
"Sakura, you know you could actually send Li to the airport and then come back and do the project with us!!" Tomoyo said.
"But... the project." Sakura said.
"Nevermind about the project! In your heart Li is the one you actually like! You have to tell him that like he has told you!" Tomoyo said.
"It was so sudden and..!"
The doorbell rang and the others had arrived. The clock showed 12p.m. Everyone had already started doing the project. Sakura had finished writing the essay and Tomoyo was reading it.
"What is this, Sakura?" Tomoyo exclaimed. "Whales are almost going to be extinct, I like Li?!" Tomoyo read aloud.
Sakura turned a bright shade of pink. "Sorry, I'll correct it!!" Sakura reached for a pen but Tomoyo stopped her.
"Sakura, this can't go on. You know how much you like Li, you even wrote it down! Why can't you say it out to him? Chiharu, Rikka, and Naoko agreed with Tomoyo. Suddenly Sakura stood up she looked at the clock. It showed 12:15.
"I still have time to make it."
She put on her rollerblades and skated down the road. Meanwhile, Li was in the aiport. Suddenly his handphone rang- it was his mother.
"Li, I'm sorry. It seemed like I made a mistake. I was not supposed to call you over. I was supposed to call someone else over. You can stay in Japan.
"Take care of yourself," Li replied her, smiling happily. He had Sakura's number he called her home only to find out that she had just left. Tomoyo had told him that she was coming over to the airport. He went to the entrance of the airport to wait for her.
Sakura looked at her watched it was 12:30 already.
"Oh no !!I can't make it."
She skated faster and came to a stop when she saw Li standing near the airport entrance. She skated towards him and fell into his arms.
"I love you Li! I really do!"
And like any other fairytale they lived happily ever after.
