Cardcaptor Sakura's Future: Chapter 2

Chapter Two: There and Getting Used To It

"Grrruffttt! Will you two quit with the glaring and the staring!" Sakura was over nerved with the two boys staring and glaring.

"WHA!!" Syaoran finally came back to the planet. "Yeah, DUH! Hey Touya, you can come back down to earth too!" Sakura was cooling off a bit.

They were in the dining hall and were already eating lunch. They just got there and the boys had been glaring at each other for hours. Sakura looked down at her chicken soup, which was almost gone.

"Oh yes, Sakura, hasn’t Tomoyo's absence at school surprised you?" Asked Yelan.

"Yes, quite a bit. Tomoyo has been absent from school for a week now before I came here." Answered Sakura.

"Well O.K. then. Tomoyo-Chan!" Yelan called. Sakura was left quite confused until Tomoyo walked into the room.

"Tomoyo-Chan! I missed you so. You were here the whole time?" Sakura jumped out of her chair, ran to Tomoyo, and threw her arms around Tomoyo's neck in a friendly hug.

"I missed you too Sakura-Chan. Yes I have been here. Eriol ordered me to come here as soon as I could."

    "Why?" Sakura asked.

"Because he didn't even know how to take care of a cold taken sister." Tomoyo replied. Sakura stifled a giggle.

"Hey! Not funny!" Said two voices. Sakura looked to her right. She first saw Eriol, the bluish-black haired, midnight eyed boy who had a girl's hand cupped in one of his hands. A shorter than Eriol figure was standing to his left.

The girl had bluish-black hair as well and it was short. About mid-length, curly, and bounced every step she took. The girl wore glasses too and her eyes were amethyst-hazel. Her clothing was a light blue T-shirt and short denim shorts. She was obviously about fifteen years old.

"Hello everyone. This is my sister, Julie." Eriol said. (AN: I happen to like that name.) Eriol suddenly caught site of Tomoyo and out of nowhere, blushed madly.

Julie seeing this, stifled a hysterical laughter. "My...(Giggle)...brother is quite fond of not knowing..." She could not hold it in. Julie fell to the floor laughing loudly. Everyone sweat dropped.

"She obviously can't stand me blushing." Eriol said, cocking an eyebrow while steadying his red cheeks to their normal color.

"It's not that." Said Julie, climbing up of the floor. Still holding her stomach, she stifled the rest of her laughter waiting for it to disappear.

"Well then what is it?" Asked Eriol, worried about his sister.

She held out her finger. (AN: Index finger.) Then responded after a few moments. "Seeing you blush like that around Tomoyo...you like her don't you?"

Eriol tried to respond by stuttering. "S-So i-i-if I-I d-do, w-why d-d-do you care!?" Eriol just couldn't help but look at Tomoyo, who was blushing. Trying to prevent her from fainting was Sakura fanning her with a folded up napkin.

"Are you saying you like her Hiirigazawa?" Asked Sakura.

"She knew a week back. That is the second reason I called her here." Eriol responded. "She must be red from keeping it a secret that is now unveiled." Eriol remarked.

"Yes, *sigh* that's it." Said Tomoyo breathlessly while regaining consciousness.

"Are you okay?" Everyone in the room chorused.

"I'm fine, I'm fine. Perfectly alright everyone." She responded.

Everyone finished dinner in peace, though Sakura couldn't help but notice that Tomoyo and Hiirigazawa had little pink hearts floating above them. (AN: Figure of speech for shooting each other sweetie pie glances.)

"Good night Tomoyo. Sleep well Touya, Meiling, and Syaoran." Sakura was saying her good nights.

"I'll see you in the morning Sakura, if not earlier." Chuckled Syaoran.

"What does that mean 'Little Wolf'?" Sakura asked.

Syaoran just stared at her and got redder by the minute. "Don't do that." Mumbled Syaoran.

"Sakura. Wake up. Do you want to go to training with me or do you want to sleep?" Syaoran was shaking Sakura gently.

"Mmmm...yeah, of course I do." Sakura's emerald eyes fluttered open.

"Okay, then come on." Syaoran suddenly started tugging Sakura off her bed.

"Hey! Oww!" Exclaimed Sakura as her head suddenly hit the ground. Sakura got up from the ground as soon as Syaoran let go of her wrist. "Do not do that again!" Sakura commanded. She got some decent clothes out of her closet and disappeared into the bathroom.

Five minutes passed and she emerged again wearing a Chinese-like high neck. Bright pink, short sleeve, white trimmed silk shirt with a pair of shorts that were of a darker pink. "Let's go!" Sakura already knew the way to the training grounds and practically dragged Syaoran again.

"Hai-Ya!" Sakura swung the wooden stick at Syaoran. He easily dodged.

    "Gimmie a break!" Syaoran said.

Sakura swung again, this time hitting Syaoran in the shin. He didn't even flinch. "You play pretty good, but that strike didn't hurt." Syaoran knew what he was doing.

"Well maybe this will!" Sakura hit him in the shin again. This time he collapsed in pain rubbing his shin.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Did that hurt you?" Sakura asked sarcastically.

"Yeah. Kind of." He was still rubbing his shin. "That last blow shows my plan worked." Syaoran sent her a sly smile.

"What do you mean?" Sakura asked questioningly.

"I meant to make you mad so you would find strength to hit me harder." Answered Syaoran.

"Why that's just plain sour." Sakura responded, snickering silently.

"Ohhh...and I got it all on tape!" Tomoyo burst out of the bushes.

"Hai...Huh?" Sakura stopped in midair, feet landing to the ground staring aimlessly at Tomoyo who still had the camcorder pressed to her eye. "Tomoyo!!" Sakura yelled embarrassed as to blush madly.

"Oh...sorry. Did I catch you two in a 'I cannot stand seeing you snicker like that’ moment?" Tomoyo meant to make them both blush.

"All right you three" Two voices chorused. They all turned to their right, turned around, or gasped. Either those or dropped their pole. Julie and Eriol stood behind them at the doorway to the training arena.

"Ohh...Eriol! I'm skilled enough. May I battle Sakura?" Julie pleaded.

"Why are you asking me? It's your decision." Eriol smirked at Julie whom as soon as got his approval, grabbed Syaoran's wooden pole. He handed extendedly to her reach for Syaoran was extremely tired and his shin still hurt badly.

"All right. Your on Julie!" Sakura got ready in position. Julie repeated this gesture and Syaoran limped back to the resting benches.

"GO!" Eriol yelled. The two girls struck into battle.

"Aya!!!" Sakura took a strike at Julie's leg trying to trip her to her knees. Julie easily blocked. "Dang, this girl got TOO much training from Eriol." Sakura thought. Without thinking, Sakura struck Julie in the knee.

Julie almost stumbled but caught her footing. Though her knee hurt, she ignored the pain till it went away. "Man, how long has this girl been under Syaoran’s training?" Julie thought, holding back tears when the pain just suddenly stopped. She stared at her brother. He seemed to be snickering at her getting struck like that. She stared at her opponent finally, working up the will to hit Sakura right in the center of the shin. She did so, right smack dab in the middle causing Sakura to collapse.

"Oof!" Sakura fell to the training floor clutching her knee, fighting back the urge to cry out in pain. It worked. Almost immediately, the pain went away. She got up and struck at Julie. Miss.

It was fifteen minutes later when Sakura and Julie collapsed at the same time. Both inhaling and exhaling air quickly, they got back to their feet but just fell again. This time, Sakura and Julie blacked out temporarily.

"Sakura! Julie!" Everyone there ran over chorusing these words. Syaoran picked Sakura up, Eriol scooped his sister up, and Tomoyo just stood in horror at the sight of the girls being unconscious.

"Sakura? Julie? Are you okay? Sakura! Julie! Please wake up!" Syaoran was shaking them one then the other.

"Ohhh." Sakura cried struggling to open her eyes.

"Sakura!" Syaoran sighed in relief. "Are you O.K.?" He was staring at her almost ready to hug her. Then he remembered her fragile condition.

"Ohh...my whole body hurts. Do you...think I'm okay?" Sakura responded.

"Kura-chan, you need your rest. Your weak as a feather." Syaoran saw her trying to get up, but with a gentle touch told her to lie down again. She obeyed and lay back down.

"I'm not that fragile right now." Sakura said in a weak scrappy voice.

"Yes, you are. Believe me, I know. I can tell by the expression on your face. You need rest. If find you snooping around here and there...you won't even be able to move I'll hit you so hard." Syaoran said.

"Is that a threat 'little wolf'?" She said in the same scrappy voice.

Syaoran just got red. "Don't do that." He mumbled.

"Hey, you called me Kura-chan." Sakura countered.

"But you like that name." Syaoran countered back.

"I give up." She said, turning around and going to sleep.

"Ohhh..." Came the mournful cry of Julie.

"Julie? Are you okay?" Syaoran asked the same question.

"I'm fine." Julie said, trying to pass the fact that she was actually feeling miserable.

"C'mon, don't you fool me too. You're actually feeling miserable. You need your rest too. No matter how bad you want to get up and running." Syaoran was ready this time and gently, but sternly laid the words on Julie.

"But, I'm feeling fine." Julie countered.

"No, your not. You’re as weak as a feather and you need your rest." Syaoran wasn't ready to let her go either. "You missy. If I find you snooping around when you should be resting, you will not be able to flick a finger when you awake. I'll hit you so hard." Syaoran threatened her as well.

Julie knowing this would not happen just simply obeyed. "I give up." She turned over falling asleep as well.

Syaoran was wondering now more than ever why Eriol had been gone so long "Pulling a move on Tomoyo I presume." He thought snickering vigorously.

Meanwhile outside, Tomoyo was clutching to Eriol's sleeve, worried sick about her dear friend. "Are you sure Sakura's okay? Eriol?" Her answer was pure silence. So to get Eriol's attention, she shook his sleeve while asking Eriol. Tomoyo and Eriol were outside in the woods. ‘Too far into the woods’ is what Tomoyo had said an hour back. Eriol just remained solemn and silent. "Eriol, say something." Tomoyo was more scared of what the heck happened to Eriol now, then the woods, and how dark and scary they were getting. Tomoyo let go of his arm and wanted to turn around but Eriol simply grabbed a piece of Tomoyo skirt and dragged her back by him.

"Shhhh...you'll scare them away." Eriol finally said.

"No...Eriol I want to go back." Tomoyo whimpered quietly so she wouldn’t scare 'them' away. "And scare who away?" Tomoyo whispered.

"The foxes." Eriol was now talking to Tomoyo. This relieved her. "Shhhh...they're coming now." Eriol commanded. Tomoyo could see flashes of red and brown popping up in between trees and soon obeyed.

"Hello! What is your name?" Tomoyo was hearing voices in her head. She looked down by her feet and soon saw that a fox with reddish-brown fur, white paws, with a white belly and under chin was communicating telepathically with her.

"Uhhh...hi. I'm Tomoyo Daidoji." Tomoyo stuck with this and replied.

"Very pleased to meet you, but I don't have a name." The fox was starting to water at the eyes.

"Fine! I'll give you a name!" Tomoyo didn't hesitate and thought of what stuck to the beautiful female fox. "How about...Keira?" (AN: Pronounced "Ke-ra") Tomoyo started to list of names.

"No." chorused Tomoyo and the fox together.

"How about...Shikaru?" (AN: Pronounced "She-ka-ru") Tomoyo sounded off one more name.

    "Perfect." Thought the fox.

"Alright, Shikaru it is." Tomoyo said. "And what shall I name you?"

Eriol was scratching the under chin of a fox just like Shikaru only it had brown paws and such. "Poshiku." Said Eriol suddenly, naming the male fox in front of him.

"Perfect for a jerk like him." Thought Shikaru sheepishly.

"Let's go back now Eriol. The others maybe worried sick." Tomoyo looked at the horizon seeing the sun just barely peeking over the trees.

"You're right. It is almost dawn. Let's hurry." Eriol said.

    "Goodbye Tomoyo." Thought Shikaru.

    "Goodbye Shikaru." Said Tomoyo waving.

    "Goodbye Eriol." Thought Poshiku.

"Goodbye Poshiku." Said Eriol. The foxes ran off onto the forest. Tomoyo and Eriol went the opposite way, down the trail back to the Li clan house. Tomoyo rushed to her room. Eriol did the same.
