Cardcaptor Sakura's Future: Chapter 3

Chapter Three: Sakura, Meiling, Julie: KIDNAPPED!

    "Wake up Tomoyo." Sakura said.

"Mmmm...too tired. I want to sleep a little longer." Tomoyo mumbled. Sakura was able to get up now. It has been a few weeks since the tire out incident, and Tomoyo and Eriol's fox visit have been more frequent, later into the night too.

"Tomoyo...lately you and Eriol have been tired more than usual. What's up?" Sakura was getting worried and had suspicions that something was oddly wrong. "Tomoyo! Respond!" All that was coming was pure silence and sleep coming from Tomoyo. "I give up." Sakura turned around and walked out of the beige room.

(Meanwhile)

"Eriol? Eriol? Wake up." Julie was shaking Eriol gently.

    "Mmm." Eriol mumbled.

"ERIOL!!!" Julie now shook Eriol harder until his eyes peeked open.

"Mmmm...let me sleep a little longer." Eriol was now speaking in words.

"Eriol! Respond!" Julie's answer was pure silence and sleep from Eriol. "Arrgh! I give up." Julie was fixing to storm out of the room when she heard an 'I give up' from Tomoyo's room and saw Sakura storming out of the room with a worried look on her face.

"You think they're up to something? Because I do." Sakura waited for Julie to get into the hall.

"Not really, but this is the first time that Eriol has ever refused to even open his eyes." Julie responded.

"Anyways, in my past meetings with Eriol he never mentions you." Sakura was bugged by the silence and after a few moments got tired of it and buzzed up a conversation.

"Well, I was always in Hong Kong, and he never really thought of me as a sister in the beginning. So he never mentioned me because he was always in England or Japan with you while I was in Hong-Kong. Get it?" Julie responded. They continued their walk down the hall till they reached the front door and exited, still engaged in conversation.

"Would you like to go a round?" Sakura asked. They had made their way to the training grounds. Sakura held a wooden pole in her hand.

"Sure, why not? We have nothing else to do now do we." Julie responded getting a pole from the bench as well.

"Hai-Ya!" Came a voice from the opposed training ground. There was a separate arena that was divided from the first by a wall.

    "Must be Syaoran." Sakura responded.

"Well let's go watch him." Julie said seemingly wanting to forget about the battle Sakura and her agreed to do.

"Alright." Sighed Sakura wanting to battle him anyways.

"HUH?" Syaoran dropped to the ground seeing the girls out of the corner of his eye, thankfully on his feet. "What are you two doing here?" Asked Syaoran, now annoyed with their presence.

"I thought we might be able to visit you and maybe watch you train." Sakura said with fake innocence and hurt in her tone.

"Well, maybe you can help me train." Syaoran said with a pole extended in Sakura's reach.

"Why you..." Sakura stopped, took the pole, and struck Syaoran just barely making it out of the way.

"Okay then!" He struck back engaging the two in battle.

"I think I'll leave them to their own devices.” Mumbled Julie exiting the training grounds, snickering knowing what was fixing to happen.

Sakura and Syaoran were still at it. Sakura reserved her energy by staying in one place for a while before moving to another. The two had not hit anyone yet. Sakura struck at Syaoran’s weak spot. (Author’s Note: His stomach. I'm evil I know.)

Syaoran fell to the ground holding his stomach. "Ohh...you...sure...are...going...to..pay." Syaoran said his words paused by cascading pain in his stomach.

"Maybe we should stop now Syaoran. I don't want you getting hurt worse than you are already." Sakura said, kneeling down by Syaoran.

”I guess your...right." Syaoran said. After waiting for Syaoran to get the feeling back in his stomach for ten minutes, they heard Touya's voice.

"Hey! Come on! It's time for lunch you two!" He called.

"We're coming!" Sakura called back. Sakura helped Syaoran to his feet before they set off for the dining room. They were stopped at the picnic area by seeing Yelan, Syaoran’s sisters, Touya, Meiling, Eriol, and Julie sitting on a plaid red and white blanket with lunch laid out.

"Hey! Why not the usual?" Syaoran called, running up to the blanket edge with Sakura only so far behind him.

"Well it's a very nice day for one and we all need some fresh air." Yelan answered.

"Oh. This is interesting." Huffed Sakura finally caught up with Syaoran.

They ate in pure silence and peace. Dinner went the same way later that day. Sakura felt an odd presence during dinner but ignored it.

"Goodnight everyone." Sakura said sleepily. She was fixing to go into her room when she just fell to the ground. "Maybe I've been through too much today is all” Thought Sakura, not aware of the real reason.

Sakura was on her hands and knees trying to gain her balance. Everyone had been gone before she fell so no one was aware of what happened. "Ugh, why me?" Sakura remarked under her breath. She had been standing for a few moments and had just tried to open her door when she found it had been locked. She stumbled her way to Syaoran's door mumbling "Why me?” because she didn't want to have to wake him.

"Syaoran?" Sakura whispered. He heard her!

"Mmmm...what brings you here?" Asked Syaoran, turning over to see Sakura standing at his doorway.

"Well...I really hate to disturb you, but my bedroom door is locked." Sakura responded cautiously moving further into the room.

"Gee...I wonder who did that." Said Syaoran getting up out of his bed to reveal him in green fleece pajamas.

"I don't know. It was probably your sisters trying to get us together by locking my door.” Sakura said hugging a small blue teddy close to her heart.

"No, they're not that mean as to do that." Syaoran said.

"I'm sleeping on the couch?" Quoted Sakura.

"Do you prefer my room?" Asked Syaoran sarcastically.

"No thanks." Sakura responded, sweat dropping.

"Okay. Good night then." Said Syaoran.

"Uh...Wait! I have a weird feeling something’s up. I don't really want to sleep out here alone." Whimpered Sakura.

"Let me get my pillow and blanket.” Sighed Syaoran.

"Whew, I really didn't have a so great feeling about sleeping alone out here...Alone. *GULP*" Sakura felt a presence and it wasn't Syaoran's. "What was taking him so long anyway? Aaaaaaahhhh!" Screamed Sakura as someone grabbed her around her waist and pulled her out of the front door. Syaoran was just in time to see this and rushed to warn everyone what had just happened in the Li household.

    "MOM!!" Yelled Syaoran

"What?!" Yelan popped her head up out of bed with a sick feeling something was wrong.

"Sakura...she...she......w-was.........," Syaoran choked the last word out in between  gasps of air, "Ki-...d......napped!"

"What?! Oh. I knew he was going to get here someday. Syaoran we HAVE to do something. Hurry and tell the others." Yelan jumped out of bed and threw something on.

"But mother, the girls. They...they will... they'll go crazy if they know." Protested Syaoran.

"Little wolf, they have to know. If they don't, they'll get worried about our absence." Yelan countered. Strictly, Yelan turned on her bedside table lamp and gathered things fit for a long journey.

"But mother, they'll just worry about us and Sakura, nevertheless, the fact that they're always worrying about stuff like this." Syaoran finally gave in after his last comment because of that glare his mother always gave him in this encounter.

"Pack your stuff ladies. We're going on a trip!" Yelan burst into the four sisters’ room.

"Meiling!" Screamed Tomoyo. Turned out that Tomoyo was in Meiling’s room with Meiling...MISSING!! Tomoyo was crying hard.

"Tomoyo, shhh...settle down a bit. I can't tell you this until you come down." Syaoran hugged Tomoyo and he whispered the words to her. Tomoyo sniffed and wiped tears from her face and settled down. "Sakura is missing." Syaoran said. Before Tomoyo could even let a tear trickle down her cheek, Syaoran gave her a tissue. Tomoyo blew her nose and wiped her tears. Tomoyo hiccupped. (Author’s Note: You know how when you've been crying hard, girls, the thing when you breath in and you kinda choke and it comes out kind of like a hiccup only chokier. That's what Tomoyo did.) Syaoran led Tomoyo to Eriol’s room.

"Eriol?" Asked Tomoyo, still all choked up.

"What?" Eriol asked sleepily, clueless about why Tomoyo was crying.

"It's Sakura. *Hiccup* And Meiling." Tomoyo was still choky.

"What's wrong?" Eriol walked up to Tomoyo and held her close. Tomoyo cried into the shoulder of Eriol's pajamas.

"What she's saying is, Sakura was kidnapped and..." Syaoran paused to hear Tomoyo muss out the words. "*Hiccup* Meiling was kidnapped too. *Hiccup*"

"Oh, Tomoyo." Eriol hugged her close. "I know. After hearing Julie scream, I went to her room. Julie's gone too." Eriol said, his shoulder now damp from Tomoyo crying on it.

Everyone packed their belongings, only things they would need: Clothes, small blanket, and a small living room pillow. Tomoyo had hushed and was staying close to Eriol at the back of the line with fear that the guy would get her too. The four sisters huddled close. It was getting kind of cold. Lucky for them they had they're blankets to huddle in. Syaoran, Touya, and Yelan lead the way.

    "Ohh, mmm." Moaned Meiling.

    "Mmmmmm ohhh." Sakura awoke next.

    "Mmmm." Julie woke last.

"Hey, does anybody know where we are?" Whispered Meiling.

"No, I don't, but I do know that this place is really damp, cold, and dark. I can't see a thing." Sakura answered Meiling’s question.

"Well," Julie was talking now, "by Sakura's description, it sounds like we're in a dungeon." Julie said.

"Oh look, I thought I saw something." Whimpered Sakura.

"Gee, I wonder where a light is in here." Meiling got up, began to walk forward, but was halted by a pair of chains, pulling its length to maximum. "Why of all the nerve. The Person...”

    "PERSCON!" Yelled a voice.

"O...K., Perscon put us in chains." Meiling was stunned.

"What is a Perscon? Why did it put us in chains? Where is Syaoran?" Whimpered Sakura.

"Perscons are people crossed with a type of mystical creature. For your second question, I'm not the Perscon who kidnapped you. My brothers did. They are the ones who put you in chains. I do hate to harm people and fellow Perscons. For your third question, I don't even know this being."

"What is your name? Sorry to be naggy but it sure is dark in here. We cannot see a thing." Sakura said.

A woman Perscon was speaking. "Why how rude of me. My name is Chikaru, a Perscon as you already know, and I will get a candle. Your nagging doesn’t bother me at all." Chikaru responded. Soon the room was dimly lit by a small candle, which was handed to Julie.

"Whoa, this place is a dungeon." Julie moved the candle around the small stone room. She too was in chains, as well as Sakura.

"Well, might you girls introduce me to you?" Chikaru asked.

"Oh, yes." Sakura said. "My name is Sakura. The black head over there is Meiling and the bluish-black head is Julie." Sakura pointed them out with her chin since she thought the chains weighed too much.

"Oh, very nice to meet all of you. Are those chains uncomfortable? I will release you when my brother, Thamas, heads for his room. I'll just have to tell him to leave and that you are sleeping. He is in the other room right now. Act asleep. He is kind of a bimbo in one way or the other." Chikaru said. "Oh Thamas, they are asleep. You can go to your room now." Chikaru said in a singsong voice.

"I'll just have to see about that. Are they really asleep?" Thamas said.

"Yes see for yourself." Chikaru opened the door to the dungeon. The girls were way head of him and were already asleep, faking it, but very good actresses.

"Hum, they are. All right. NO funny stuff though." Thamas left the room.
