Mother's Cold Bread |
20 slices semi-stale bread 3 cups of milk 2 eggs 1 tbsp. Vanilla 2 1/2 cups sugar 1 1/2 cups raisins |
Tear bread into small pieces, pour milk over bread, cover & soak for min. of 1 hour, add all other ingredients, mix well. Bake in buttered 13x9x2 pan for 1 hour @ 350 degrees. Ovens may vary ... Cool, cut into squares, refrigerate before serving. |

Mother's Green Jell-O Salad |
1 Lime Jell-O 2 cups water 1/2 block cream cheese (4oz.) 1 pack chopped walnuts 1 small can chopped pineapple, drained well 1/2 bag mini marshmallows 1/2 container cool whip |
Bring water to boil, dissolve Jello and melt cream cheese into Jello mixture. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Put in bowl; add nuts & pineapple. Chill until set (45mins) Fold in cool whip and pour into non-stick mold. Chill until set. Wonderful Holiday dish! |

Patsy's Tunnel of Chocolate |
3 Sticks butter 6 Eggs 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 cups flour 12 1/2 oz. Box double dutch frosting mix 2 cups chopped pecans |
Cream butter, add eggs & sugar, stir in flour, frosting mix and nuts. Bake @ 350 degrees for 65 to 70 minutes in greased and lightly floured bundt pan. Cool for one hour before removing from pan. Very rich, no need for frosting. |
FOOL PROOF FUDGE |
3 6oz. Packages semi-sweet chocolate morsels 1 14oz. Can Eagle Brand Condensed milk 1/4 tsp. Salt 1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla 1/2 Cup chopped nuts |
In heavy sauce pan, over low heat, melt morsels with condensed milk. Remove from heat; Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread evenly into wax paper lined 8 inch square pan. Chill for 2 1/2 hours, cut into squares. Enjoy! |
Cherry Cheese Pie |
8 oz. Cream Cheese 1 can Eagle brand condensed milk 1/3 cup lemon juice 1 tsp. Vanilla 1 can cherry pie filling 1 ready-made graham cracker pie crust |
Mix cheese and milk until smooth. Add vanilla and mix. Add lemon juice very slowly. While stirring (it will thicken) Pour into crust and top with cherry filling. Refrigerate for 1/2 hour before serving. Very rich! |
