The original two bedroom Log Home built in 1977 has been
twice remodeled. First in 1990 with the addition of the
lower family room and master bedroom. Again in 1996 adding
the garage and second story guest/in-law area. These
additions bring the total square footage of the home to
2800sq. ft
The Living Room has the rustic charm of natural log
exterior walls, this is enhanced by the vaulted knotty pine ceiling
and large stone fireplace. Truly the heart of the structure
the living room is surrounded by the two front bed rooms, a
large bath with a Jacuzzi tub, kitchen and laundry area. The
two front bedrooms feature the same rustic log walls as the
living room. The kitchen features custom oak cabinets,
dishwasher and a Kenmore Classic Grill Range.
Beyond the kitchen is the added family room and master
bedroom. The family room also has a vaulted ceiling and the
bedroom has it's own bath. Off the family room is the mud
room a feature that allows easy cleanup before entering the
living space from the garage or outdoors. There is a large
indoor storage room or den just off the the mud room as well
as access to the second level and garage.
The garage is accessible from both the front and back by
means of access doors two on the front one on the back. The
garage is fully insulated and provides a spacious work place
as well as storage.
Most rooms throughout the house feature ceiling fans for
optimum air circulation both winter and summer. For greatest
comfort the main level is heated and cooled by a Geo Thermal
heat pump and the second level is heated by baseboard
heaters. The entire house has wall to wall carpeting except
for the Mud Room.
The second level originally designed as an In Law space
providing comfort and privacy for visiting relatives and
friends. It features a large common area and two rooms one
slightly smaller than the other. One room serves as a home
office the other a bed room. There is also a bathroom with a
shower stall on this level. This level would make a great
area for kids giving them a private study area. It could
also serve as an area for live in guests with the addition
of a kitchenette.
