These are my favorite movies, not necessarily the best movies, but the ones that I feel influenced or changed my life, and I watch more than any others. By the way, with the exception of the number one spot, all of the rest change their order constantly. I narrowed my favorites down to this top 10, but if I were to make this list tomorrow, there would be some completely different films on here.
Go here to see my Top 10 Best Films Ever Made.
Okay, so there's my Top 10 of this very minute, but here's a list of "close calls" that swap places with some of those above all the time. (The ten listed above and these here together makes my Top 25, which I feel more comfortable with).
CLOSE CALLS & OTHER FAVORITES I CAN'T DO WITHOUT: (in alphabetical order)
Being John Malkovich
Some of these you may wonder why they're on here, some you may wonder why they're not in the top 10. Like I said, my favorites have nothing to do with which is the better movie, but more to do with which ones fit my personal tastes. I can explain and argue my reasons for each and every one of these, but the only one I'm gonna really say anything about now is Willow, which is on my list but neither LOTR is. That's because I've watched Willow more times than almost any other movie. It was one of my favorites in back in 1988, and still is. It may not be as original as LOTR, but after reading the novels (the movie adaptation and the sequel novels by George Lucas and Chris Claremont), I can say that in no way is it a ripoff of Tolkien, just inspired by him.
