Volume 1 Chapter 5

The Joyous Past

The Small image of Sailor Star Guardian still stands before the trembling teenagers.

"Did I hear you right? You said that you are Sailor Star Guardian? You mean you're a sailor senshi too?" Marianne said very quietly.

"Yes, you heard right, I am Sailor Star Guardian, and yes I am a sailor senshi. Yet, I am not really this small. You see this is only a reflection of my true self. Trust me I am much bigger than this." Sailor Star Guardian said smiling a honey sweet smile.

"Wow...you have the power to do such a thing?" Andrea said being amazed.

"Yes, I weld an undescribable amount of power." Sailor Star Guardian replied.

"Why did you call me princess?" Aurora asked sounding a little worried.

"Because you are a princess. Please let me explain in more detail..." the tiny little senshi replied.

The scene that we see now fades away and we are taken back in time to the past. This past is at the time a the Silver Millennium and the scene is a beautiful palace. The scene becomes more detailed and we are soon faded into another more detail picture of the castle. We see a young female in her years before adulthood. She is running in a field of of beautiful flowers and is wearing a light blue dress. The dress is long and she holds it up with her right hand so that she may have the freedom to run. Her hair is long (down to her knees) and is dark brown, shinning with a reddish hew in the sunlight. She is smiling, her cheeks a beautiful rose color, and we see that her beautiful brown eyes are closed. She is laughing a gentle sweet laugh.

"The days during the time known as the Silver Millennium were peaceful ones. You, Marianne, were the princess of Earth and also the protectorate of Earth as well. This meant that you were both Princess Earth and Sailor Earth. Your mother was a beautiful woman, and physically (and partially personality wise as well) you took after her. Yes, you were a beauty indeed. Many men tried their hand to be your wife, but you refused. It was said that marriage was not your top priority, but that you did have your eye on a precious someone. Yet, that is beyond the point. You were a princess and your mother, the Queen of Earth, was raising you to follow in her footsteps..."

We then hear a voice other than that of Sailor Star Guardians, and we soon see that it is the Queen whom the senshi was talking of. She is beautiful and resembles the girl we just saw.

"Tranquility!!! Come now, it is time for you to greet the princess from the Aurora Polaris system."

"I come mother, I come!!!"

We now see the two walking to the place which holds the princess from a far.

"Ah, princess I would like you to meet my daughter, Tranquility. She is of your age I believe."

"It is a great pleasure to meet you princess." the star princess said, very politely.

"It is a great pleasure to meet you as well." the Earth princess replied very politely.

We see that this princess from the stars was a beauty herself. She has long curly, light brown (almost blonde) hair about the length of Princess Earths. She is wearing a light goldish color dress and her eyes are a very light brown. She has a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes.

"If you'd like I can show you to your room." Tranquility, the princess of Earth, offered.

"I would like that very much."

"Wonderful!" Tranquility said clapping her hands.

With that we see the two girls walk down the corridor, talking and giggling. We see the Queen's face and see that it is one of a sweet, quiet joy.

"Yes those were happy time indeed, but like all good things there is their counterpart of sadness and grief. It would be in a matter of only two years that this peace would end. An evil force from the edge of the known universe had come to Earth, and was beginning to posses everyone. Only the strong were not possesed ..."

The scene is once more of the palace we first saw, but it appears very different. It is now in shambles. It looks as if it was hit by a huge explosive. We see that the atmosphere of the whole place is dark and cold. What was once full of people, happy joyous people, is now empty. We wander down the desolate halls and into a room somehow untouched by whatever attacked the palace. We see a glowing light from within the room. We glide in and see five people. We see the Queen, her daughter (Tranquility, the princess), her two sons (the eldest being Endymion and the youngest being Ethos), and the other is the princess from a far (Lithia). They stand huddled together, looking over a screen made of crystal.

"Yes, Serenity it has gotten much worse. Everyone on Earth except for us is possessed! I don't have enough energy to shield what is left of the palace any longer. That is why I am sending my children and the princess from Aurora Polaris to the moon. Please lend them transport, they're all that is left of the royal court!" Queen Earth shouted at the crystal screen, which retained a picture of Queen Serenity from the moon.

"I will lend them transport to the moon and they shall be protected. I don't know what my dear daughter, Princess Serenity, would do if she were to loose her dear Endymion." Queen Serenity answered, looking quite disturbed.

"Oh, thank you Serenity!!! Thank you, thank you!!! I pray that what has happened to our dear Earth shall not happen to the moon. Oh, if only the other senshi warriors had been here!!!! Not the young warriors that reside there on the moon, but the others..."

"You are right. Perhaps if they were here they could awaken the sleeping senshi and all would be saved...But we will have to rely on what we have until they arrive."

"I only hope that they arrive before your kingdom is attacked. You are the strongest Serenity of the Queens, but I fear that you nor I will survive this fight..."

"Get a hold of yourself Terra!!! You are Queen of Earth!!! Stop looking into the future of destruction!!! Look at right now and decide what must be done!!! Even if we are destroyed there is always some way that our children will live on and carry our legacy!!!"

"You are right, I'm being too dramatic. I shall send the children over now."

"I shall await their arrival."

With that the screen bleeps out into darkness, and the four children stand looking over the Queen's shoulder.

"Endymion, take care of your brother and sister. Stay close to them and Lithia. Make sure they get to the moon safely." the Queen told her eldest child as she leaned over the console.

"I will, mother.." Endymion replied in a saddened voice.

"Mother..." Ethos began to say, but was stopped as his older brother put his hand on his shoulder.

"Mother, before we go I would like to tell you something..." Tranquility began.

"What is it sweetie."

"That I, all of us, love you dearly. We hope that you'll be ok."

"I promise you, that no matter what happens to me, that as long as you live (whether it be in spirit or in body) that I will be fine."

"With that the valiant Queen hugged her three children and the princess from the stars. The four children then walked off down the dark, sullen hall with a little bit of hope in their hearts, that everything would turn out good in the end." Sailor Star Gaurdian said, in a somewhat sullen voice.
