EARTH COUNSEL is an intercontinental trust comprised of seven Members, as defined by the Earth Counsel Draft Charter. Earth Counsel is also a non governmental, scientific, and educational institution, and the first international organization whose members are the land regions of human habitation known as continents. Traditionally, international organizations have been constituted by purely political entities--that is, states. The Draft Charter of EARTH COUNSEL provides that each Continent is constituted by government, industry, academia, and international and non governmental organizational Nodes. Each Node of each Continent is represented by Earth Counsel Delegates. Each Delegate, in turn, represents one of four Earth Spheres. Thus, among each organizational Node of each Continent are Delegates representing the Lithosphere (land forms), the Hydrosphere (oceans and fresh water), Atmosphere (atmospheric layers) and Magnetosphere (Earth satellite orbits).
