Angel

Angel was a ruthless killer until a gypsy curse gave him a soul, living life as a tramp he was shown that his destiny lied with helping buffy fight evil, falling in love with the beautiful schoolgirl he left La for sunnydale.

Angel’ past eventually caught up with him when it was revealed that new vamp in town Drucilla had been one of his victims .He had to reveal the truth of how he had killed all her family, eventually turning the poor girl insane before turning her into a vampire. After a night of passion with buffy, angel lost his soul, turning back into Angulas, he used his connections with the slayer to torment her, teaming up with fellow vamps drucilla and spike. When he found out that Miss calendar was from the gypsy tribe that had given him the curse, and was working on a spell to return it, he killed her. Willow later found the spell she had been working on and performed it, buffy was trying to stop the vampires from opening the gates to hell and just as she went to kill Angulas willows spell worked. Buffy had no choice but to kill her love, thus closing the gate and saving the world. The evil one later brought Angel back from hell , an alternate reality were he had been for several hundred years returning with the mind of a wild animal. Buffy cared for him until his recovery, but angel knew he could not stay in sunnydale, the death of miss calendar made him unwelcome amongst buffy’s friends. With the knowledge that he could never give buffy the kind of relationship she deserved, he left for La, were he continues to battle evil.
