Welcome to the ...
Sunday August 25th & 26th 2002

Well I don't know who read last weeks commentary, but here we go John did his predictions I'm gunna do a review of Summer Slam.  I just got done watchin it, paid the f'n 35 bucks, would have been nice if someone (kyle) could have come over to watch it with me but I guess my friends hate me, Anyway...

Rey Mysterio Jr  VS Kurt Angle: This was a great pick to kick off the event, fast match with alot of action, both wrestlers on their game.  I think the Match could have been longer, but it was ten minuets of great action.  Angle beat down Rey Rey, but it didn't keep him grounded.  The best part was when Angle was out on the floor Rey went to do suicide dive but the ref stoped him, the ref leaned under the second rope as Angle stood up, Rey leaped right over doin a fliping dive over the ref, knockin heads with him and landed perfectly on Angle.  Angle finally got Jr to tap out, this was one of my 3 favorets of the night(I watched this one twice.

Ric Flair VS Chris Jericho: Two great wrestlers, with alot of experience and wrestling knowlege.  This match was short like the pervious, I thought would go longer.  This as with most Flair matches was full of chops, Flair missed his flip over the top in the corner witch sucked.  Jericho put on figure four and Flair taped out right after he grabed the rope though, Flair ended up with the Figure Four on Jericho and Jericho Taped out.  Two tap outs in a row, I didn't really care for that, but both matches were good.

Edge VS Eddy Guerrero: This was fast paced high impact match, that went back in forth.  Guerrero ended up workin on Edge's sholder (the one he hurt couple months ago).  This brought good heat to the match, both tried their finishers with no luck.  The match went hard and fast in and out of the ring.  Eddy hit the Frog Splach on Edge's arm hurtin the sholder more, but Edge hit the spear (on the sholder he hurt ~shurgs~) and got the W.

Tag Team Titles Storm & Christian VS Booker and Goldust: Those of you who read last week's commentary know I'm a big Lance Storm fan.  This match was alright, all the wrestlers did a great job, the Un-American's got some great heat as usual, (I'd kinda like to see Storm go Face sometime though) the match went on as Dustin (goldust for thoughs who don't know) took the beatin, Book finally got in hit ax kick on both of the Champs, but it ended kinda sh*tty when Test came out and kicked Booker.

IC Title Chris Beniot vs Rob Van Dam: Another one of my fav matches this was almost a holy shit match, and Definatly was the best undercard match.  As I'm writing this the tag title match is playin downstaird on the replay and I'm about to go watch this IC title match again...  OK I'm back that was good 15 min match, there was some crappy back stage stuff with Bischof and Stef because this was a Raw vs Smackdown match, even the only SD thing was the Ring announcer for Beniot.  The match started quick with kicks from RVD, but Beniot grounded him and over powered him and workd the neck and sholder (like Eddy Did to Edge witch I didn't like) but worked well cause Beniot got CrossFace on 3 times.  They both missed their top rope finishers, RVD took nasty fall off top and landed on the railing wall thing.  Beniot did back suplex off the top but RVD landed cross body.  RVD got up top and did spectacular 5 Star, Beniot's legs were facin the rop RVD flew off of.  I was suprized RVD won cause this brings 3 titles to Raw and leaving only 1 on SD, but Stef left laughing, look for RVD to switch shows possibly.

Undertaker VS Test:  This was just a Fight, I love the Taker I think he is awsome.  He went old school twice walkin the ropes, and finished Test with Tombstone.  He fought off both  tag champs to win this match.  This match was ok, maybe if Test was a better wrestler.  The Undertaker grabed a Flag from a fan and stood on the ropes with the flag on his sholders, was a vary cool moment for the Dead Man, good face push for him after being a mean heel for so long.

HHH VS HBK:  HOLY SH*T is all I got to say, I'm gunna go watch this one again...OK  GREATEST THING EVER.  This match tottally reminded me of an EBW match sometimes.  HBK made awsome enterence (as usual) though he had on jeans (with belt that got used alot later).  The Game made his enterence, I noticed he shaved (what kind of heel shaves an old EBW sayin "Heels Don't shave" and HHH was the heel in this) anyway...  This started out with alot of punches and knock downs, weapons broke out early, but HHH turned the tide when he ducked Sweet Chin Music and hit a couple nasty back breaker.  The Back Breakers turned the tide because of HBK's old back injury.  HHH got a chair and nailed HBK in the back.  Then a DDT on to a chair witch busted HBK open,  was ok blade at first but washed away later.  HHH slaped on an adominal stretch, workin the back more using the ropes to help.  At this point Referee Earl Hebner flipped out and started screaming at HHH, tellin him to stop.  HHH set up the chair and gave him a side slam on to the chair, he tried for pinfall 3 times.  Then HHH lay the chair down on the mat, givin HBK another side slam onto the chair, 3 more close falls.  HHH picked up the chair goin to slam it into HBK's head, but HBK nailed Sweet Chin Music drivin the chair into HHH's face.  HHH was busted wide open with one of the best blade's I've seen.  The match went out on the floor again, this time HBK wiped HHH with the belt.  HBK riped the shoe off of one of the spanish announcers and nails HHH in the face, and finally a JR quote I like (I'm not a fan of JR bty) JR: "An Eye fore and eye, and a Heel for a "heel"" it was funny.  Then HBK got a big ladder out from under the ring gettin a huge pop.  By this point HHH had the crimson mask on it looked like a Flair blade, and a little puddle of blood lay on the mats ouside the ring.  HHH then grabed the stairs tried to hit HBK, but a drop toe hold aand HHH's face bounced right off the stairs.  HHH almost twisted his ancle in a fall over the top his feet landed in the ladder.  HBK set up a table in the enterence way, he hit HHH with fire extinguisher layin him out on the table.  HBK climed the top rope, and did a Super Fly like splash onto HHH and though the table.  This was the best move of the match gettin and ECW "Holy Sh*t" Chant.  HBK set up ladder in corner climes up and nails elbow drop on HHH from the top.  Then he warmed up the band, settin up for a little Sweet Chin Music, HHH cought the kick and set up for The Pedegree HBK flips over and rolls him up for the 1 2 3.  HBK showed little ring rust and hopefully made a comeback like no other.  The Game from behind slamed the Sledge hammer(it was rubber ahahaha) twice into the back of HBK.  HBK was taken out on stretcher.  This was greates match I've seen in the WWF(not E) since I started watchin it again when the Game returned.

WWE World Title Rock Vs Brock Lesner: This was nothing spectacular, but was one of the best performences from Brock.  Alot of power moves, workin Rock's ribs, Paul E. got involved a few times and Rock put him though spanish announce table.  As usual Rock looked like shit, both of them kicked out of rock bottom.  Lesner hit great clothesline in the middle of people's elbow (I hate that move and rock should not be called peoples anything cause that MOFO don't represent me I HATE HIM) rock also got alot of BOOs and rocky sucks chants it was great.  Lesner and rock suprized me with a small sequence settin up their finishers, finally Brock hit the F-5 (anyone know where this name came from?) and won the title.  NEW Champ, he don't deserve it, but anyone is better then the rock.

This was a pretty good PPV I'm glad I got to watch it for the f'n 35 bucks and a missed night of work.  I'll see everyone at TWF's Ground Zero where I'll wrestle Havoc and the Big J, look for some Extreme moments and some awsome hardcore action.
