Mission Briefing:
A new species of rats are overrunning the island.
They are large, with mottled fur that gives them a
camoflage effect. They are slow and methodical,
overrunning sections of the island at a time. Their
primary weapon seems to be longbows, with
nightshade-tipped arrows. The rat's next target must
be the Emperor's palace. If his dwelling is captured,
the Emperor could become...displeased.
Mission:
I looked at the mission statement on the piece of
paper given to my by the Great Ublaz himself. I was
confused. New rats on Sampetra? I hadn't heard
anything about this. Well, if new rats are here
without me knowing it, they must be enemies.
I left on my mission to destroy the new rats that day with five score vermin following closely at my heels. They were almost all searats or corsairs, but there were a few trident rats, too. The only thing I knew about the rats were they had camoflage fur and their main weapons are long bows. I suddenly heard a noise behind us, and I saw about score of rats come from nowhere. I then noticed about that amount coming from every other side. "I am so stupid," I thought to myself, "I've walked right into a trap."
Suddenly, a salvo of arrows nailed my men and many fell. The battle is on. "ATTACK!" I yelled. The next thing I heard I wouldn't believe. "REDWALL!!" the rats were yelling. Rats from Redwall? It seemed impossible. My thoughts were cut short by a rat running towards me with a scimitar raised. I quickly drew my sword and slashed at him. It only grazed his stomach, but it showed me something I couldn't believe. The fur just fell right of the rat- but it wasn't a rat, it was a mouse with fake fur on. This explained why the rats were yelling Redwall. They must really be mice from Redwall disguised as mice.
The enemy numbers were falling fast, but so were ours. The mices long bows and other weapons- almost all scimitars, were taking their toll. All of a sudden, a magnificent mouse ran towards me with a gleaming sword. I slashed at him, but he blocked it. Sudden;y, he slashed bask and cut my shoulder. I slashed back, and got him right across the chest. He immeadiately died. I picked up his sword and looked at the hilt.
The Sword of Martin.
A couple of moments later, the battle stopped. My men had won. When a rat approached with a death count, I was disgusted-
Enemy:Total
Ours:four score and a half
We had barely won, but at least we saved the Emporer's palace and possibly the whole Isle of Sampetra.
