Mission 228

Mission:
My emporor told me I needed to go to find a healer somewhere for some of the sick seabeasts at his command. I took my mission seriously, since the lives of fellow mateys depended on me. I took my chip, "The Plunderer," out to sea on a nice shiny day. I didn't take many supplies, considering that once we got to Mossflower the food would be plentiful; especially if we robbed some goodbeasts. On the second eve of sailing, a large sea storm hit and we lost two of our crew; Higle and Rochnor, two sea rats. The loss wasn't significant, after all, the three monitor lizards I had brought along would make up for it. We reached Mossflower in three days, landing farther up on the ocean shore, away from the badger mountain, Salamandastron. Wouldn't want to lose more crew and the ship to that cursed Long Patrol. We tied the boat to the cliff walls and left seven seabeasts to guard it. We left them all of our supplies, and many of the weapons so they could defend themselves if the need arose. We headed off towards the East until we finaly arrived at the edge of North Mossflower. It took us a couple of days, but we made it across the toad lands and into the deeper part of Mossflower wood. We saw the occasional hedgehog churning cordial, and other fieldmice harvesting their berries, but our mission was too important to bother them....although we considered coming back for them once the healer reached Sampetra.

Now that we were deeper into the woods, we needed to begin looking for a healer. It was rumored that a Vixen called Surona lived around the forest, and she was renowned for her healing powers. We made camp a few miles away fro the abbey the call "Redwall." I have seen the Abbey once, when my crew and I raided Camp Willow. It was a magnificant building...of course Ublaz's palace is much nicer and more of a stronghold for mighty warriors, such as himself. We didn't have to wait but a couple of days, for the vixen came to us. She was clad in a dark pink cloth which had many herbs and salves dangling from them. We asked her to come to Sampetra to heal some of our wounded, but she refused, saying that only bad things happen at Sampetra. To cause insult to injury she also added that we were all seabeast scum and shouldn't show their faces around Mossflower and interfere with her, or any other vermin's life. We took this personaly and had to knock her out. We then strung her up and marched her back to the ship. Along the way we were attacked by a throng of toads and frogs, but the monitors were able to fend them off before any real damage could be caused. We reached the boat after 3 days of hiking. The vixen was complaining about being abducted. I simply told her that she was not abducted, but her services were requestd by the Mighty Ublaz and we could not take no for an answer.

The boat ride home only took two days this time. The weather was nice all the way there, and the food and drink that we lifted from goodbeasts, and that the land provided us, was a special treat on the voyage. Which brings me to present moment. Here is the vixen Ublaz, I have warned her that if she can not cure the creatures, or if she tries anything tricky, she will be slain immediatly....oh, and heres three kegs of the best Strawberry fizz and Chestnut wine you will ever taste!!
