Mission:
Stalker wondered why he had been called to Ublaz's chambers. All the ships were docked and there was no trouble he heard of. When he reached Ublaz's chambers he saw one of the scouts leaving. He entered and did fancy bow and said, " Yes , your Majesty?" Ublaz replied," There are ships coming. Three from Redwall , two from Salamandastron , two from Castle Floret , one from R.A.U. , five from Camp Willow , six from the Guosim , and one from the Caves of Luke . I need you to go and intercept them. They are only four days away. You can take all the ships. " With that he waved his hand telling Stalker to go . Stalker had to assemble all the captains fast. He knew they would all be at the tavern Fatrat. He went and saw that all the captains were there. He rose up and said,"Goodbeasts are on a total of twenty ships that are heading this way. Ublaz has given me command of the fleet. Several of the captains , most whom he didn't know , started protesting , one saying,"How can some one who isn't even a Commander even possibly command a fleet.

"I don't know ," Stalker replied," he just chose me. Now , can we discuss a battle plan?" All the captains mumbled ,"Yeeesss."

"Good then here me out . They outnumber us by five ships. However , I was thinking of some weapons. If we were to get ale and grogs and the such , and put them into something like an open cask we could throw them on to the decks of ships. Then , we could shoot fire arrows at the place where the casks hit and at sails , we could set there ships afire . Another suggestion is fireswingers. Now they are only four days away , so we have to leave by tomorrow. Get the supplies and crews ready. We leave at dawn!"

After sailing nearly two days the goodbeasts were spotted. Stalker cried to the lookout to tell all the ships that the goodbeasts have been spotted. He did and cried back to tell that all the ships were ready for fireswingers and to fire on Stalker's command.When the goodbeasts were about 90 yards away, he gave the command . It looked like it was raining fire. Four ships were soon on fire and sinking.The ships still came. "Get ready to throw the ail and grogs." Stalker said. The ships were now twenty feet apart. The ships launched the ails and soon started firing arrows. Three more were now buning strong. The good beasts were now only a few feet apart and the goodbeasts started jumping over to the other ships.Soon there was a mass slaughter going on . Squirrels were shooting arrows , Guosim were attacking with rapiers , otters with slings and javelins . And worst of all , forty hares with pikes.Stalker was laying many low with his axe , but many vermin were dying.Goodbeasts were almost upon him when , the ships without goodbeasts came over to give some backup. The goodbeasts were now losing. Soon most of the ships were free of goodbeasts. The rest were captured and then executed. Fortunately , no major damage had been done to the ships . However, three hundred vermin had been slain. We returned to Sampetra and I related what happened to Ublaz. "Here is your reward . . ."
