Mission:
I was called into the castle of the Emperor himself, Ublaz. Several
crewbeasts were found half-eaten on the shore one morning, supposedly
caused
by a great snake-like creature in the water. I was assigned to take
the
Deathsail out into the sea and hunt down this creature. I was also
ordered
to send crew members in the water and to see what happens. SLightly
appaled, I ecided not to go against the Emperor's words and took with
me
some of the slaves sentenced to die from the prisons, just to kind of
kill
two birds with one stone. Our ship sailed out to the point where the
rat
said he saw the great serpent, and we set anchor for a few hours.
Every eye
was set out on the sea, to catch a glimpse of the creature. When
midnight
came, I decided to set the slaves in the water, like what Ublaz had
told me
to do. We lowered the wreteched creatures into the sea attached to
long
ropes, and once again, watched. Nothing happened for a few hours, but
when
several crewbeasts decided to hit the sack, it came. At first we
heared
nothing a few moans from the prisoners, which we thought might've been
because it was getting cold, but suddenly one of the otters we had down
there, who had been yelling, suddenly became quiet. I looked over the
side,
and to my horror the otter had been chewed through. Setting guard, we
watched again. Then, a squirrel off the port bow started to scream. I
rushed over and sure enough, a great black serpentine creature was
eating
the beast. Determined to capture the water beast, I unslung my bow and
quiver and shot an arrow at it, but the arrow broke over the scaly
hide. I
toook out one of my throwing knives and hucked it at the beast, but the
knife was stuck in the creature and it didn't even feel it. I decided
that
the only weapon that could subdue the creature was the almighty
sword-staff,
and unhooking the weapon from my scabbord I jumped overboard. My crew,
trying to help in any way they could, cheered me on. I struck at the
snakefish several times, but nothing happened. I decided to use an
ability
that has only recently been known to myself, my electric blade stab.
Summoning up a massive amount of energy, one of the blades on my staff
glowed gold. Shoving the blade within the snakefish, I charged all of
the
electric energy into it. Paralized, the beast fell prostrate.
Retrieving
my knife and staff, I climbed aboard the Deathsail and we all hauled
the
thing onboard. Quickley, we shipped the snakefish to Ublaz's palace,
where
he now uses the creature to "entertain" unwelcome visitors. I am still
learning how to master my electric blade stab, but hopefully, soon, I
will
use it in battle and attain perfect victory.
