Mission:
Once I received the orders for this mission I wasn't
quite sure where to start. I new the main objective
was to find Fangder and Shrivelpaw. However, the
appearence of the poisonous purple and green skinned
lizards also needed to be looked into. I decided to
start by trying to find some of these poisonous
lizards in hope that I would find the two missing scouts in the same place.
I packed up provisions for about three weeks, strapped
on my sword and throwing knives and headed off to try
to locate some of the poisonous lizards. Knowing that
creatures that are poisonous and make poison often
need large amounts of water I decided to go up to the
northern areas of Sampetra where I new the majority of
streams and freshwater rivers were. After traveling 3
days I began to notice reptile footprints that were
far to large for any of the known monitor lizards that
were in Sampetra's army. These footprints were also
spaced relatively far apart indicating that these
lizards not only had big feet but that they were tall
or at least had long legs.
I began searching some of the caves that were next to or nearby the streams in hopes of finding some kind of remains of a camp site however after finding no evidence after 3 days of searching I decided that the lizards were most likely not hiding in caves. I began trying to find any trees that could be hollowed out with caves under them. I searched for such buildings for several days and just when I was about to give up I found such a tree. It had several of the large footprints outside it so I knew that I was finally on the right track. I began looking for any type of lever or false branch that might work as some kind of door handle to open the tree. I finally found one and with my sword in my other claw I pulled it striking a fighting stance in front of the door that it opened.
It seamed deserted. However, I decided to search the cave just to make sure that there was no one inside the deeper areas of the cave. My efforts paid off when I found the two scouts tied up in a chair in the back of a cell. The both seemed to be sleeping and surprisingly happy. I knew that they must have been drugged to be sleeping so well and in such peace so I decided to find a hiding place and hope whoever drugged them would return soon.
It didn't take long for a enormous lizard to come strolling in and pull a giant beaker of ale off a nearby shelf. After drinking it, the lizard opened the door to the cell that the 2 scouts were in and he then threw the bottle at Fangder's head waking him up instantly. Fangder was however not angry at all he seemed to of almost of enjoyed having the bottle broken on his head.
Once the lizard closed the door to the cell I decided that I should make my move. I did so by jumping on the lizards back and holding one of my knives to his throat I ordered him to hand over a antidote for whatever he had given to the 2 scouts. He began to struggle and lash about harshly. So I jumped of his back , picked up my sword and drove it through his tail and deep into the ground. I once again jumped on his back and told him to tell me where to find an antidote this time however I did not give him so much slack and he told me that I could find the antidote on a shelf in the corner after leading himover to the shelf and making him drink some of the antidote to prove it wasn't poisonous I killed him and gave the antidote to the two scouts and then lead them bothback to Sampetra.
