Mission:
Two weeks ago, three "Flying Machines" crash landed on Sampetra, each
carriing three otters, whom we had no choice but to kill. Shortly after,
Emporer Ublaz ordered me to go to Mossflower, and steal this new technology,
and bring it back to Sampetra.
I then went to the tavrens, and picked out a crew of five marlfoxes, my trackers, ten strong water rats, my thieves, five weasels, my assasins, and four stoats, my spies. Then I went to the habor with my crew, took thirty slaves, and sailed for Mossflower. The trip took roughly half a season. When we arrived, I made sure to anchor far north of Salamandastron, so I wouldn't be bothered by the hares.
We arrived at the edge of mossflower in late sping due to a late blizzard, that killed two of my water rats. When we arrived, we set up camp and I sent my trackers and spies out deeper into the woods towards Redwall Abbey. Two days later they returned with horrible news. An army of ten thousand goodbeasts was preparing for a major assult on Sampetra. Seven thousand by sea, and three thousand by air. Luckily, my spies found a sneaky old bankvole that was easily bribed into helping us. He told us that the ships were at Salamandastron, and that the flying machines were at Redwall abbey.
To get inside the abbey, we created a disturbance, by setting the woods adjacent to us on fire. The disturbance worked, as almost all the creatures inside the Abbey went to put out the flames. We then had the bankvole open the gates for us, and show us where the bluprints for the flying machines was. We then killed him and the inventor of the machines, left the abbey, and burned it and all the flying machines to cinders.
We then went to Salamandastron. On the way we recruted and vermin army of two hundred and fifty beasts, with three good ships. We took this army to Salamandastron. When we arived, we decided to make a diversion by sending a third of our troops to the east to terrorize and take slaves, we sent another third out with all three ships to the west to worry the hares. We made them think that it was a pincer attack by a much larger force. While they sent out forces to deal with the diversionary tactics, I sent my assasins inside Salamandastron to worry the hares even more. I then ordered my spies to take a few good archers and disable the enemy fleet. After my spies and assasins returned, I made a hasty retreat back to our ship, with about one hundred other vermin. We were also able to take about fifty slaves with the diversionary tactic, that we cained up and prepared for a life of survitude.
On the way back to Sampetra, we read over the bluprints. The design was so simple. The machines were just light log boats with wings that was prepelled by gliding power.
