Adventure Comedy-Airheads Bill and Ted are going to flunk school, or at least science. They have one final history project they must get an A+ on, or else they will fail. If Ted fails, his father will send him off to military school. So, while working "hard" on the evening before, a message from mysterious Rufus comes, saying they can travel back in time to help with their report. That's what they do, while collecting various historical figures along the way. Bill and Ted must face hardships and love while trying to pass their class.
8/10-A highly intelligent movie (even if Bill and Ted aren't). Keanu Reeves makes one of his screen debuts, while Alex Winter has faded. It's fun to go along with them to find Napoleon, Billy the Kid, Socrates, etc. Though somewhat confusing (like all time travel movies), it's funny and smart, not today's typical teen comedy. Director Stephen Herek has made only a select movies, including The Mighty Ducks and the recent Life or Something Like It.
