Comedy-CW Briggs, an insurance investigator in the 1940s, has never liked women. He thought they were dumb, inferior, etc. So when Betty Ann Fitzgerald comes into his workplace, he treats her like any other woman. But when Betty Ann starts returning his insults, CW finds he's smaller than her. Later, at coworker George Bond's 50th birthday party, a hyptonist named the Jade Scorpion brings Betty Ann and CW onto the stage. He hypnotises them into thinking they are in love. The curse is simple: whenever someone says Constantinople to CW, he falls into a trance. Ditto with Betty Ann, except her word is Madagascar. When they leave the party, the curse is still on them. The Jade Scorpion calls up CW, and tells him to rob jewels from the Kensington home, which CW designed the security for. After sucessfully robbing the jewels, CW tries to investigate the robbery which he committed. The Jade Scorpion calls CW and Betty Ann to rob more jewels, while Betty Ann has an affair with her boss, Chris Magruder. CW then tries to find out the theif while the rest of the company suspects him.

6/10-Advertised as a comedy. It was not too funny, with most of the laughs being miled laughs. However, the plot was strong and the characters were great. It kept you captivated for 100 minutes, the perfect length for this type of movie.
Rated PG-13 for sexual content
