The Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Rings
Action/Fantasy-A young hobbit, Frodo, (short, dwarflike people) played by Elijah Wood, must go on a quest. After obtaining a ring that has powerful powers, Frodo must go to the mountain where it was made to destroy it. Along the way, he joins in a fellowship to help destroy the ring, including Gandalf (Ian McKellen), Strider (Viggo Mortensen), and Sam (Sean Astin).
7/10-A good movie. Long (approx. 180 min), but, I guess, as the rest of the books-into-movies, they must be long to capture the book. More violent than I expected, but that doesn't matter. A nice slough of stars, too, also including the ones above, Liv Tyler, and Cate Blanchett.
Rated PG-13 for action violence.
