Sci-fi/Action/Fantasy-Alexander Hartdegen is a young professor who is always late. The absent-minded professor, you may call him. After meeting up with his girlfriend Emma, he takes a walk with her in the park so that he can propose to her. There, a robber comes up and demands that they give him all their money and jewelry. After refusing to give the ring that Alex gave her, the robber shoots Emma dead. Alex then goes back in time with the time machine he built to stop Emma's death. Again, she is killed, but in a different way. After being knocked out from when he is in the midst of the 21st century, he goes past the year 800,000, where he meets peaceful people called Eloi. One of them, Mara, takes a liking to him. After Morlocks, some cannibals, capture her, Alex must do what he can to save her while still trying to get back home.

6/10-To put it bluntly, it has four-star special effects with a one-star script. The acting was what you'd expect. Simon Wells did a fantastic job contacting a special effects supervisor, but the scriptwriter needs to be fired. Though confusing at first, this movie makes more sense as it goes along.
Rated PG-13 for violence.
