PUMPKIN
cucurbita pepo ![]() Plastic food containers that have clear plastic lids. These are good for starting seeds. Once they sprout, transplant to larger pots. Something like a 6inch pot or 1 gallon pot. You might plant pumpkin seeds directly into a 1 gallon or larger container. They grow fast and get big. If you have room, plant them directly into the ground. They need little care. Plant pumpkins in July for the fall season. (we sell pumpkins and couldn't find enough of them last year). For other plants sift regular potting soil so that to get all the fine material for the seeds. Then just plant them into small pots. You can start with 4 inch pots and transfer into larger pots as the plants grow. Good luck, Crystal ![]() |
