ArtART  |  ART

I have always enjoyed drawing, painting, sketching, and looking.  In Mullins schools, I was lucky to be accepted into a special section of art during the eighth grade at Palmetto School under the direction of Wanda Harper.  At Mullins High School, I took four years of art (1994-98) with Marilee Fairchild, a very gifted teacher and artist.

During my time with Mrs. Fairchild, I learned much about producing my own two-dimensional and three-dimensional work, but also about art history.  I am so thankful for this experience because I have been able to enjoy many of the great art museums of the world because of Mrs. Fairchild's influence on me and the art knowledge I gained from her during those years.

My theme during Advanced Placement studio art (general portfolio) was to show culture starting from world culture and working it way through American culture, South Carolina culture, Mullins culture and finally individual culture.  Most of the artwork shown here pictures the culture of Mullins, South Carolina.  Although I have done produced any artwork since leaving high school, I hope to one day return to making my own artwork.
