    Travel

I have had the opportunity to travel throughout much of the United States and travel abroad several times in my life.  Indeed, I am very lucky.  In each trip, I have viewed magnificent scenery, beautiful architecture and interesting people.  I hope to be able to continue to travel and learn more about the people and history of the world throughout my life.

Below is a brief description of my travels.
--In 1995, I spent three weeks living with a family in Hildesheim, Germany, traveling to Berlin, Leipzig, Bremen and other cities.
--In July and August 1997, I lived in Washington, DC while working as a US Senate Page.
--In 1998, I visited Alberta and British Columbia in western Canada.
--In January 2000, I traveled to China and Italy. In China, I visited Beijing and Xian, climbing on the Great Wall, touring the Forbidden City, and seeing the underground soldiers of the Ming dynasty. In April 2002, I joined the Wofford Singers on our choral tour of Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan, Italy. The highlight was singing at a Mass in the Vatican at St. Peter’s Basilica.
--In Spring 2001, I studied abroad at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.  During the semester, I traveled to some places in England and Scotland.  I also traveled to Madrid, Spain and Paris, France.  For more information about my semester abroad in Scotland, click here.
--In July 2001, I traveled to Jamaica.
--In January 2002, I took a train trip around the United States and into Canada, covering 9,671 miles.  For more information about "The American Railroad Odyssey" visit our project web site at http://www.wofford.edu/railroadodyssey
--In September 2002, I returned to England to study at the University of Warwick.  In November, I traveled to the Netherlands.
