Thoughts on what girls want (continued)
                        by John Acierto

Hi, I'm back, with more thoughts on what girls really want. As I mentioned in my last little
essay, girls generally want nice guys and never look in the right places for them. And guys are just
morons. But, that was highschool. College is a totally different story. People in college are older,
far away from home, and almost totally independent when it comes to making their own decisions.
All these factors play a major part (at least, for freshman) in a college student's thought processes.
How? Glad you asked, cause I'm gonna tell you.
First of all, there is the fact that in college, you don't have your parents there to tell you what
to do. Just this little fact makes for the reasoning that the college student can do anything without
getting into trouble. This is wrong, but it is one of the first realizations to come to the young adult.
So, the college student decides to do what they feel like: skipping classes, going out to parties,
staying up really late, etc. Oh, and it also opens up the huge possibilities when it comes to seeing the
opposite sex. Without mom and dad there to ask about your exploits, you can do just about
anything. Here is where my first point comes in, so read on.
The college male is often almost overwhelmed by the amount of female flesh walking
around a college campus and he can deal with it in one of two different ways: go out and talk to as
many girls as possible with the intention of getting you-know-what, or to avoid them completely and
just watch from a distance. This is where most males (and females for that matter) discover their
true personality. Are they shy or outgoing? Are they more social or are they more academic?
These questions are answered very quickly during the first year of college, and they answers can be
a huge revelation.
Even though the male has discovered what he is, there is still one fact that is true for just
about all of them: their hormones are raging out of control and the urge to score is a loud shout from
his body.
Girls, surprisingly, aren't that different. The only real difference is that the female has a lot
more staked in emotion than the male. While the male is following his physical urges, the female is
following her emotional urges. I'm willing to bet that most of those girls going out with guys are
doing it because they feel lonely. They feel like they have someone who will cuddle with them and
hold on to them, filling the void of loneliness that was left there from the move from home and the
whole college experience in general. This is, as I'm sure you can see, not love at all, just two people
following their urges blindly and, I'll say it, pitifully.
Of course, guys do feel lonely and girls do have physical urges, but in general, guys follow
their penises and girls follow their emotions. And then you add the stresses that school puts on them
and it only serves as fuel to the fire. In times of stress, people tend to lose all sense of reasoning and
follow their urges, physical or emotional. It's sad, but it happens all the time. And it's happening a
lot in college.
This essay is a lot shorter than my last one, but there is less to explain here. It's college, the
place where you're supposed to have the best time of your life. People tend to leave out the
academic part of college, but that is the most important part. Don't forget it! As for all the other
stuff, please, think about what you're doing. Following your urges can be a very bad thing if that's
all you do. Think every once in a while. Stop and look at your situation. You'll be very surprised
at what you really see.
