How and when did you get involved with music?

When I was about 11 or 12 I really got into DC Talk and Audio Adrenaline. I always thought that Will (the bass player for Audio-A) was really quite rad. I told my mom that I was going to play the bass. Of course they said, "Ahh, Timmy, how precious" or something like that. When I was 13 I bought my first bass and I kind of fooled around with it for a few years. I got really serious about it at about age 15. My best friend Todd Staley (I Luv Dad and The VanBlimps) taught me how to play it and we started writing songs and learning cover songs. We've played with a lot of different drummers and hadn't done much recently since our last drummer moved to Chile. I've been praying for a while to use my talent for God and to be in a Christian band. Phill Foust invited me to play in the praise band at church, where I met Jimmy. And the rest, as they say, is history.

When did you become a Christian?

I was raised in the church and was baptized in 7th grade one summer at Elkhorn Valley (Christian Service Camp). My decision was helped by Clarence Mansfield who is one of the raddest guys I've ever met. God is so strong in him. I stand amazed.

What is your favorite part of being a member of Sanctuary?

I like Sanctuary because it gives me a chance to take part in ministry, which is what God wants me to do. That's what He's been telling me all this time, I just finally had the good sense to shut up and listen.
