The Clubs Open Day
Saturday October 16th 2004. 10am - 4pm
The clubs operating layout Stopford was running and the "in progress" layout St Aidan's Bay was assembled, all 32 feet of it. This was up and running for the first time.
With both layouts being fully assembled the rest was space dependant. We had present....
A DCC demonstration layout showing the benefits (and pitfalls) of this latest technology allowing you to run 2 loco's on the same piece of track independantly, and in opposite directions if you wish!
A members layout. Again "in progress". A DCC 00 end to end station based with turntable.
There was a Club sales stand with models, kits, track, rolling stock etc.
Click here for a map to the church where the club is based.
As ever there is the Demonstration Stand provided by The
Rassbottom Brow Group, who are happy to discuss any
subject, even model railways; in fact anything that stops
them actually having to do any modelling!
There's no admission charge but donations always gratefully received. Light refreshments available at modest charges.
Opening time 10.00am until 4.00pm
