I am so glad you stopped by to see my website.

I am a single mother of two grown boys. I hold a Bachelors in music - violin performance. I also sing. I am currently in a Christian Praise Band as well as my church choir. I am active in my church as well as several volunteer organizations. I belong to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) and the Illinois Association for Family Child Care, for which I serve as President. I regularly mentor new providers and teach classes and workshops on various child care topics.

I became licensed by the State of Illinois and opened Sandy’s House FCC in 1992. I attained NAFCC Accreditation in 2005. I am very proud of my business and love what I do. I generally accept children from 6 weeks till kindergarten. Some of my “graduates” still come back in the summers and on school breaks. Sandy’s House is a fun, stimulating, educational, safe environment.

My home is located on a cul-de-sac in Streamwood Illinois. I have a huge fenced yard. I have several pets that are very much a part of the daycare. Pebbles is an 11 year old female Dalmatian. Ebony and Belle are indoor, declawed two year old cats. Ella is an adorable bunny. All of my animals are friendly and well behaved. I believe that my pets add a great deal to my daycare environment. We not only play with them, but take care of them and learn how to treat animals with respect.
