'Long' Night for Islanders

What started well, ended well Saturday. As the Sharks won there 3rd straight game against the Islanders on the strength of Ed Belfour's 1st shut out of the season. The Sharks controlled the game pretty well from start to finish out shooting the Islanders 26-19. Alyn McCauley had a game to remember.
Belfour makes a save during a busy 2nd period
McCauley was used to play the point, as call up Keith Ballard was unable to get to the game on time. McCauley scored a goal from the point and was +1 in the game. Leading the assult for the Sharks was Todd Marchant who collected a goal and an assist while Matthew Lombardi added 2 helpers. Also scoring for the Sharks was Steven Reinprecht who had 5 goals in 4 game to start the season off. Krzysztof Oliwa played in his first game as a Shark this season. He had 9 penalty minutes including a fight against Ruslan Salei in the 2nd period. The Sharks now travel to Alberta to visit the Oilers before they fly back home to face the Islanders in a re-match. Ken Klee remains dat-to-day and it is expect Keith Ballard will join the team in Edmonton for his first NHL game.
