Sharks Send Dogs Packing

After dropping a game to the Coyotes a week earlier. The Sharks came our ready to play for this home-and-home series with Phoenix. winning both games and out scoring the Desert Dogs 10-4. tilt stopping 25 of the 27 shots that came his way. Todd Marchant led the way for the Sharks in the 2 games collecting 1 goal and 4 assists. Eric Brewer and Martin St. Louis saw there point scoring streaks extended after the first game to 8 and 6 respectively, Eric's streak was then snapped in the 2nd game of the home and home. Matthew Lombardi now is on a streak of his own of 5 games while St. Louis streak sits at 7 games.  Brad Richards sits 3rd in league scoring with 20 points, after adding 2 more points against the Coyotes. The Sharks now have a day off before they travel off to the Big Apple to face the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The day off will allow for those bumps and bruises some of the Sharks players have gotten in the first couple of weeks of the season. Theres still some debate who will get the start in goal. But look for Belfour to get the nod after having a couple of days off. But if hes still not rested, Thibault will be more then ready to step in.
