(January 19, 2006)--In the 24th Round of the Draft, the Sharks elected to draft defenceman Karel Pilar. With this selection, it gives us another big body on defence and more depth in this position in case of injury. Karel will probably be the clubs 7th defenceman to start the season. He is a consistent player in his own end and also bring a hard, heavy shot from the point. Injuries and health concerns have bothered his career to date. But the Sharks feel if he can remain healthy, he will definately help the team! |
