BRING ME TO LIFE
To my dance lecturer. Your always my inspiration. But i swear you'll kill me if you ever get to read this.
To Keax! Nothing left to say...words just won't come out
* "Really??? This is so exciting! WAHHH what shall I wear??? Oh no I have nothing to wear! WAHHH" Miya ran around the house, rambling with delight. Reika watched her step family. They never looked ever so enthusiastic about anything before.
"Ne, okaa-san we should get new clothes. Really!!! We must impress the prince!" Chika tugged her mother's kimono, begging with cibified puppy eyes.
"I heard, he has beautiful red hair." Reika announced suddenly and the three just stared at her, after which they went back to their pointless discussion.
"Shall I wear this?"
"Can I still fit in that?"
"Which is prettier? This pink one or the white one?"
"Can I borrow your pearl necklace?"
"Can I go to the ball with you?" Reika asked only to be answered with roars of laughter.
"Sure.. Why not. However... you have to get your own kimono." Fumiko told her as her two daughters snickered at Reika for her foolish thoughts.
*
"This is not happening. I WILL NOT." Shiro banged his hands on the table.
"But you must. Sougetsu, tell him. Its for the best of the empire." the Emperor tried to reason with his son.
"Shi, you know u have to. You have to take over the empire, sooner or later. Its just sooner now." Sougetsu knew how stubborn Shiro could get sometimes. He knew that no matter what he said, won't change Shiro's mind. He's still to young anyways. A boy at 17, to take over the country is too sudden, to extreme, to unadvised. However, he did pledge to be the boy's faithful servant. Always to be by the boy's side. But it is difficult, especially when he... is just a little older than Shiro.
"I WILL NOT." Shiro stormed out of his father's chamber, leaving the two men.
"Sou... please talk to him. I'm getting too old for this. My time is near. I now he is too young but he's my only son. Tomorrow night, we will decide his bride. We don't have a choice."
*
"GO AWAY!" Shiro growled at the person, standing outside his room.
"Shi, its me." Sougetsu whispered to his prince. Waiting for some sort of response which did not come, he pushed the sliding door and saw him, lying on his bed. Staring at the ceiling. His hands clenched to a fist as they laid faithfully beside him.
"Shi... are you ok?" There was no answer, no movement, no reaction. He slowly made his way to where Shiro was. He looked at his prince as he laid there, still raging with fury as they burned brightly in his eyes.
Sougetsu sat on Shiro's bed, beside him. Trying to find words to console him but they were gradually running away from his thoughts as he came to a blank on what to say. As his heart overtook his mind, his body - on instinct, laid beside Shiro. As uncalled for as it is, Shiro did not seem to mind. The wrath in his eyes seem to have diminish. The ferocity seemed to have disappear.
"How can I marry someone I don't love." Shiro finally spoke. He words gloomed his surroundings, making his room darker then it already is.
"How can I marry someone else, when I love another?"

Reika was thrilled beyond anyone's imagination as she scampered to her room. She was going to the ball with her step mother and sisters. She groped through her black oak chest, searching for her most cherished possession. At the bottom of the chest laid her mother's pink silk kimono.
Lifting it up with much precision, she admired the embroidery as it was revealed little by little. The whole kimono was covered with floral embroidery. Dark red, blue and white threads composed into flowers and intricate designs. The sash was in dark pink, standing out on its own.
"Mother..."
Reika traced the needlework at the end of the sash. Done with gold thread, it says... Komatsu. (in case ur wondering... its her family name.)
