ROCKS THAT BLEED

"Leon, Daijobou." the aniki, Iason, replied.

"Ouch...THAT sure hurt." Oriya said while being assisted by Muraki in standing up.

"YOU! You dare to touch my brother!" the once worried-looking face now turned angered and deadly.

"You shall not be forgiven! SHADOW SERVANT! Eliminate!"

By the command of the angered sorcerer, three hooded phantoms emerged from the shadows and surrounded Oriya and Muraki. The three phantoms closed in to the two. Before they could attack, Muraki also casted a spell and the phantoms disappered.

"Is that all you can do?" Muraki taunted.

'He's no ordinary man.'

"You're insult will not go unpunished!"

Leon, then, is surrounded by light like he is shining. Concentrating, he started chanting.

"I invoke the rites of fiery Muspellheim, and give thy soul up to the inferno's imbrace! IFRIT..."

"MAGIC BLOCK!"

With the magic "Magic Block" Leon's spell was cancelled. Knowing only one person who can successfully block his spell, he looked at the source of the blocking, shocked.

"Nani?! Aniki, doushite?" Leon said snapping to face his brother.

"You are being reckless again, Leon." Iason walked closer to his younger brother.

"Our release from the seal took most of our energy, casting a great spell will weaken you and leave you helpless. You have already casted a spell, eventhough simple, it already took much of your energy."

"Demo...aniki..."

"After we have recovered all of our strength, you can cast all of the great spells you want. I recall you can cast a hundred great spells continously and don't get tired when you're 'fully charged'."

"Hmph! I can cast hundreds but you can cast thousands!" the younger sorcerer pouted childishly.

"Anikis are always better than the younger ones."

"If you wish, we could bring you to my friend's inn to rest." Muraki cut in before a quarrel started between the two brothers.

"Ah, you must be the one who released us, yes?" Iason faced Muraki with a small smile.

"Yes it was me." Muraki answered casually.

"Perhaps our releaser has a name?" Iason asked Muraki.

"I'm Kazutaka Muraki and this is Oriya, a very good friend of mine."

Leon glared and growled at Oriya's direction. He was about to attack him again but Iason stopped him.

"Don't make me paralyze you too." Iason threatened Leon with a glare.

With a last growl and glare at Oriya, Leon stayed a step behind his aniki. Oriya, then, released a sigh of relief.

"Don't mind him. He's just being a very over-protective little brother."

"I think it's understandable." Oriya nodded.

"I think we haven't introduced ourselves. I am Iason Ryudo, Master swordsman, spearsman and spell caster, specializing in summoning evil. Beside me, as I think you already know, is my younger brother, Leon Ryudo, Master swordsman, archer and spell caster, specializing in summoning elemental spirit guardians."

"Aren't you telling them too much about us, aniki?" a grouchy Leon complained.

"Nonesense, Leon. We owe our freedom to this man. We should give him some reward. Where are your manners?"

"I threw it out the window a long time ago." Leon mumbled to himself.

"Perhaps it is better if we talk about more of this after you rest." Muraki offered the brothers.

"That would be most acceptable. I hope your inn is not that far." Iason directing his question to Oriya.

"I think it is best if we teleport there. It is a bit of a distance from here." Muraki explained.

'Teleport?' Leon said to himself.

'He IS no ordinary man. Interesting.' he added.

"Teleportation can be managed. If you could please teleport before us. We'll just follow you. I have to talk to my brother about some things." the older sorcerer told Muraki

. Muraki narrowed his eye at this, "Very well, we will wait for you there."

With a swirl of white feathers, Muraki and Oriya disappeared. Leaving the two brothers alone.

"I think you trust them too much, aniki." Leon complained.

"He was able to break the seal, brother dear. We can use them and their knowledge of this new era."

"But eventhough we were sealed, we were able to see what was happening to this world."

"Those are not enough. Knowing more about this world will help us plan on ruling it again."

"I thought we were getting our revenge first. I can't wait to get my hands on that sorcerer. He may be already dead, but any of his descendants will do."

"How are you supposed to do that?" Iason arched a delicate eyebrow at this.

"His scent. The scent of his blood. It is very distinct. Completely different from the others'. I'm sure his descendants will have that characteristic."

"Something you got from your wind guardian?"

"Yes, I told you she's useful on something else."

"Well then, we better teleport where Muraki-san is. We need our rest for our...mission."

"I think the better word is...conquest."

"Whatever."

"You better unblock my magic, now. How am I supposed to teleport?"

"Why? Don't you want to teleport with me?"

"No thank you. It may have been hundreds of years ago, but I can still remember what happened when I decided to teleport with you." Leon pouted and turned away from his brother.

Iason could only grin sheepishly at the memory.

"Alright! Alright! I'll unblock it already!"

With a wave of his hand, Iason has unblocked Leon's magic.

"Good. Shadow Servant, come forth!"

The three hooded phantoms emerged from the shadows and kneeled before Leon.

"What are they for?" asked a confused Iason.

"Servants, I want you to... let's say...patrol... report to me anything out of the natural. Find any useful artifacts, especially elemental weapons. Now, go."

With their master's order, they again disappeared into the shadows.

"Guardian of the skies and winds. Sylph, come forth!"

A woman with apple green hair in pure white sorceress robes emerged from the swirl of "green" wind. Like the three phantoms, the woman kneeled before Leon.

"Your orders?" Sylph asked in her soft voice.

"Follow us and protect us but don't let anyone see you or feel your presence. Attack assailants if necessary. Be on the look out of any of the sorcerer's descendants. Go!"

The wind guardian, Sylph, disappeared in her swirl of green wind.

After the summonings, Leon is now faced with an angry Iason.

"I blocked it so you won't waste it. How can you be so sure if you have enough energy to teleport?"

"Don't worry, I can still teleport. Shall we?"

"You better not blame me if anything goes wrong." With a nod, the two brothers disappeared in a swirl of leaves and a flash of light.
