| Swordtails are a colorful livebearer and males can be distinguised by the "sword" on their back fin. Males are aggressive amongst themselves and occasionally toward other species. It is suggested to keep either just one male or enough for the aggression to be spread out. A spacious swimming area and hiding spaces can also help weaker fish from getting abused. Temperature: 72 - 82 degrees F Breeding: Livebearers, isolate highly pregnant females. Feeding reccomendation: Vegetarian food, also nonvegetarian food and food flakes. Feed young with live and dry food. |
