1. Keep yourself from watching more than six or seven episodes of Stargate SG-1 a week.

2. Try to watch only one episode of
Stargate SG-1 per weekday.  Weekends are fair game.  (And no, I did not mean you should watch “Fair Game” every weekend.)

3. If you do not have access to current
Stargate SG-1 episodes, but have recordings (or DVD’s) of earlier episodes, plan a special marathon of your favorite episodes for every or every other, say, Saturday.  Three to four episodes make a good marathon.

4. Try to read no more than two Jack fics a day, depending on length.
DO NOT let your reading interfere with meals, your job, your school work, etc.

5. It is all right to carry a picture of Jack around with you, if you must.  If you feel a case of
Jack withdrawal coming, you can head it off by taking out the picture and looking at it.  But do not stare at it for long periods of time.  Admire it for a moment, then put it away.

6. Do not feel ashamed of your addiction, because, after all, it is a much better addiction to have rather than other addictions... in my opinion, at least.

7. Consider sharing your addiction with other
Jackoholics.  It could show you that you are not alone.  We are out here, and we can help.
If you have an addiction to a different television character, the actor who plays him/her, and/or the television show itself, many of these ideas could still help you.  You only need to apply them to that character/actor/show.  If you need further help, contact me, and I will see what I can do.
