| Not all Jackoholics suffer from the same symptoms. There could be other symptoms that have not yet been observed or have not been reported. If you suffer from any or, heaven forbid, all of these symptoms, you are most assuredly a Jackoholic. Please report additional symptoms through the J-Anon Hotline. |
| 1. You smile like an idiot every time you see him... 2. You emit high-pitched noises in excitement of seeing him in any shape of form -- either on the television or merely a picture -- or even with only him being mentioned in some way... 3. You partake in excited, rapid clapping when you see him for the first time when watching an episode of Stargate SG-1 -- the episode can be one you have not yet seen or one you have seen half-a-dozen times or more... 4. You wave at him and giggle every time you see him in a scene, knowing he will not respond to you... 5. You use his name -- by writing it over and over again -- to practice your handwriting... 6. You draw something like "I love Jack" or even the Gate symbol for earth (the upside-down V with a circle over it) on your body like a tattoo... 7. You talk to him while watching an episode, trying to warn him about something that is about to happen, knowing he cannot hear you... Or worse, you talk to his picture, telling him how your day went... Even worse, you talk to him in some language other than your native tongue... 8. You have one or more pictures of him posted on the walls or door to your room... 9. You post a picture of him on the outside of your room door so you can, 1.) say goodbye to him when you leave for school, work, etc. and 2.) say hello to him every time to pass by the door... Even worse, you change the picture every month... 10. You carry around a picture of him in your purse, wallet, or, in some cases, the pants pocket of your teddy bear or other favorite stuffed animal... 11. You name you pet, stuffed animal, and/or plant after him... 12. You have pet names for him like Jacky or Sir Jack... Or worse, you have food-related pet names like Honey Buns, Pumpkin Pie, or Sugar Pie... 13. Your heart-rate increases, and you become very fidgety through the whole hour before a new episode of Stargate SG-1 is shown, especially if it looks like a good Jack episode... 14. If applicable... You are excited by the fact that the actor who plays him has the same number of letters in his name that you have in yours... 15. You have a shrine erected to him made up of pictures in frames, drawings and/or other things you have made, SG-1 novels, and/or anything associated with the U.S. Air Force (because Jack is in the Air Force)... 16. Your entire computer’s theme is Jack or Stargate SG-1 related -- i.e. wallpaper, screensaver, icons, mouse pad, etc... 17. You say “hello” to your Jack wallpaper when you turn on your computer, and you say “goodbye” when you turn it off... 18. You have one or more sites devoted to him and/or Stargate SG-1... 19. You read and/or write Jack-centric fan fiction to the point of obsession... 20. You make movies by putting clips of him to music (also know as Music Videos)… 21. You make sites like this... 22. Only his face can make you feel better when you are ill... If seeing him does not help, get off the sofa and take yourself to a doctor. You’re really sick, and I can’t help! |
