Azon 10|23|02
As the moon began to rise over the twin mountains in the distance, Fearia and Shenti, named for the goddess of Hope and light, all was well at the Sanrix. The skies turned a orange-yellow-dark blue as the sun faded and the moon took over, a slight reminder of the day long long ago that all was wrong at Azon, the days still sharply remembered of Garth.
But today would be different, today and maybe tomorrow, for Sargon, had decided to proclaim the first ever Azonese frenzy and tonight it would be held. A night to remember...
The main viewing area was set up on the fairy tale shores of the silver sea watching the moon sink behind the mountains casting an eerie silver light onto the cold blue water, turning it metallic silver, hence the name. Wine, coffee, beer, and assorted flavored drinks were being set out on tables covered in thick black clothes and so where an assortment of cheeses and part foods.
Just as the moon rose to it's highest point, High Lord Chaos decided that he would be in charge of the lighting if there was to be any at all and showed off by raising a dozen pumpkins in mid air all fitted with candles so that they cast a very 'Harry potter' look onto the whole place.
Now only to arrive where the guests and the invited parties. Sargon was standing by his beloved, wearing only his best black tank-top and long baggy pants. His long wolven tail curled out behind him and for the occasion he had grown a pair of black-bronze wings to accommodate his bond. It wasn't surprising after all he was a chameleon-shifter but it did creep a few people out, and that of course was his motive.
Bolton and Painiath waited on the out hanging peninsula just to the left of where everything was being set up. Pain-in-the-butt-ith was glowing more than ever before and Bolton had earlier joked that when everything was dark she'd stick out like a sore-thumb and he could end her flight quickly, her being neon and all.
Kat strode up besides him her black dress cashing with her golden blonde air and honey colored eyes. "The first has just arrived.." She said casting her eyes to the eastern shores where mighty golden Litayth and Mezireth, ridden by ex-weyrwoman Tiyanni and newly appointed weyrwoman of Ryslen, Jeyann. Behind the golds landed the group of east-rock dragons that would be flying in the dark tonight. The first was the demon Adrian on blue-black Tuskai, who landed with dignity, despite their...indignities. Followed by dark crimson 5 headed Wraakth and black 5 headed Mchawith, ridden by Bekirol and Kitai from the darker side of Ryslen, though they hung back away form the black-blue and two golds as if they where attempting to melt into the shadows. Then came tiny blackest green Twengith and Maranni who all together looked a little out of place and a little confused, but Twengith was a good little green and would have no problem finding a mate.
Then came Green-black Kogeki and Violet-silver Yubinath ridden by Jayden and Vino, though Vino wasn't a part of "Ryslen", there was no chance she was going to hang out with Jeyden at this frenzy. Finally the single vallen-cove hockey player that had made the cut, Stu and ice-black Oighreth, who looked and felt more out of place than Twen and Maranii.
"Well this is very nice.." Tiyanni said side-by side with her daughter towards them casting her gaze onto the decoration and then onto the floating pumpkins. "don't tell me Ch-"
"TYANNERS!" Chaos' mighty voice boomed into their ears from somewhere close behind. Tyianni turned around to see the High lord grinning at her. "Haven't seen you for a while. Tell me Litayth isn't flying?"
To Sargon's faint surprise Tiyanni smiled, "Hello Chaos, no she is not. Neither will Mezirth, they aren't very ...dark." She paused something cunning flickering in her eyes. "Diamadenth is flying then? And does Serangina your lovely fiancé know about this then?" She said slyly her voice mixed with amusement.
"Um no.." the 2/3 blood red demon said slowly and was about to say something else but was interrupted by the arrival of more guests. Baeris on gold-green Dulath and a very large number of the Kshau protectorate dragons. First was ever zippy Red Derewith ridden by just as zippy Sarasvati. They where followed closely by her brother Rayv, and his black Zaisth. Next came the impressive gold-black-winged Tintalleth ridden by the daughter of the master healer herself, Rael, she glanced around calmly, unlike the rest she was used to high matinance Weyr/Sanrix life, being the daughter of the greatest 'unofficial weyrwoman' of all time. Last came the black winged red hydragon Odir, and her rider Lifera.
Baeris slide of her gold-green and walked up to the others grinning happily. "Glad to see Azon's finally having a frenzy! With what Sargs, two whole clutches under your belt?" She laughed as Sargon blushed a shade of red and mumbled something about only having a limited time to consider being a Sanrixian.
The attending group form the hydra realm was the next to make their entrance onto the scene. Flux lead the pack, diving down to meet the group of assembled Weyr persons.. and Chaos. His rider, Polona was gazing fearfully at the 3 assembled hy-dragons, one indeed was a male. What if Flux was to be caught by it? But she didn’t' have time to worry about it, behind her came the might 27 headed Diamis ridden by Yasha. And though this dragon was wingless and had to remain on the ground through her chase, that seemed to not affect her vainity. As all gazed in silent wonder at the 27headed hydra and rider, Scorched Chaos, the clouded red-gray burst from wherever he came ridden by black-black Darsh. Then came Zaithyr and black Dvamsak, a few wondered how the black with wings torn like his was able to fly, but he was doing quite well despite his.. disabilities. Last to enter, but not the least was Renegade and the impress fire marked black Gizath. The demon's eyes immediately found the 2/3 blood red who waited impatiently on the ground his huge Ryslen born black bronze coming to stand defensively behind him. The tension seemed to crackle in the air between the two and sarong immediately knew to keep them spaced far apart. Very far...
From no where blinked Kamikaize and black green winged Terimeth, they glided lazily down to meet the rest of the gang, though Kamikaze's cheetah eyes searched through the healing den ensemble, looking no doubt for Ivo. Seeing that he wasn't there she sighed but smiled amidst her sorrow, it was a frenzy and frenzies are always "fun".
After the green winged black landed the other 'hy-queen' of the hatching appeared in a blaze of glory, blinking form the Rayllomian Myias and followed by a few of it's flickering flames. The exact opposite of between they saw. But that mattered not to 13 headed gold-red Diosama, or her ancient rider Hieyiakana. They where glancing down at the others, picking out the weaklings.
And at the exact moment she landed two voices rang in unison into everyone' head: She is mine! Gizath and Diamadenth and again the tension crackled the air.
Neither of you will lay a hand on me thank and especially not my brother! She hissed back all three of her main headed glaring at the two overly large demon bonded dragons.
But then who will have us? Xenoyth and Rekarlith's sweet voices drifted into everyone's heads and they spun to see the two night greens standing side by side as if they had been clutch mates. Rek was larger and looked to be fiercer than the mild mannered perfectly proportioned Xeno. Typhin stood by with Miza on his arm, and K'ma stood to their right looking a little uncomfortable standing next to the odd silver eyed man and the fierce tempered woman.
Aye me ladies! Would you care to give one of us a spin? Dracoth and Merlinth sounded off doing and neat twisting formation as they dive bombed towards the ground, M'lor and T'lor rooting away.
No respectable female would want such boneheads chasing her! Teal depth said and her rider, Tykel nodded in agreement, her fox like tail flicking back and forth as she watched the twins come to a landing way to close to the quickly darkening water.
Hanging back a ways was Risiententh and Vega, the elven maiden all by strutting in, turning quite of few heads in the process. But as soon as she neared the group Jaquin was at her side, and if someone would have so much looked at her funny...
Bonehead, Sea depth? Are all you swimmers such morons? Black-red 5 headed Ignioas said walking onto the scene accompanied by her rider Puntar, who was eagerly sizing up everyone who glanced her way.
Moriath was next to ride in followed quickly by her son, Aziriith ridden by their respective riders, Sky son of Sargon and the wolf shifter Dolph. They landed, quickly next to the twins because their was little room else, with all the humongous hy-dragons having to proceed backwards to the intended 'flight zone' a large grassy field edged by a group of trees and a dark blue lake.
Next to come was Crater Black Desmir and his rider, Blank who didn't look the happiest to be there. He slowly landed his amazing black-colored dragon next to the group assembled on the shores.
Last but not least was a lone gold invited by unknown "Sanrix-personal". Well that's at least what Nikayath and Ziatana claimed.
So it came that all 35 dragon and hy-dragon assembled on the shores and on the fields waiting patiently for the flight to begin but Sargon refused to give the word until the skies gleamed black and the star danced out the kiss the silvery moon.
So everyone spread themselves out and made ready for a very, very long night, grabbing pieces of wine, cheese and other assorted goodies.
An estimated 20 minutes later Sargon pulled form seemingly nowhere a Rayllomian device called a microphone (yesh microphone). He clicked it on and his voice boomed into the heads of the waiting riders and dragons. "Welcome; Welcome all, sorry to keep you waiting but there is one thing I must say first;" He paused watching everyone with his yellow eyes. "That I should not see one fight break out and if I do whoever is in it.." His eyes fell on Chaos who turned his head innocently. "Anyways....let the first ever frenzy begin!" He raised his hands and if by magic a symphony of fireworks exploded over head right on queue thanks to the special effects of the wizarding parties present.
It was only right that the reason the frenzy had been declared be the first to shoot up in the sky, and as Bolton had predicted, Flurry born perdiot Paianith shot up into the sky beating her wings ferociously. The sound of many beatings of wings followed as all the dragons, male and females rose together, using the devices given to them to enhance their vision in the dark, so it wasn't totally unfair and they avoided some collisions.
All but veered away as Bolton rose last and with expert speed after the 'green queen' his light blue eyes alight with a afire that none had seen for at least a century. And no sooner than had Paianith turned to see hi coming he was on her and her had in her his grasp. The medium sized perdiot being brought down by the 92 foot long black bronze. What a sight indeed. Sargon had no trouble finding Kat and soon the swoon of dragon passion had them both and they found their way to one of the pre-set up rooms.
The black green winged Terimeth heard the beatings of wings behind her but when she turned around all she saw was the night sky and the reflection of it down in the waters below. It was all to late when she felt the strong black arms of the crater black Desmir wrap around her that she realized what had happened. And down below, even though he wasn't Ivo Kamikazie found Blank to be rather attractive himself and quickly grabbed his hands and planted a kiss on his cheek. Shocked but not disappointed Blank half smiled and allowed himself to be lead away by the cheetah-girl.
Gold-Black winged Tintalleth had quite a few suitors on her tail and she could tell by her half-bronze and half-red coats glinting in the moonlight that she would not be disappointed. She had found a place that would except her as a queen, even if she was part black. It was black-red-fired marked Gizath who brought the gold-black dwon, caliming his first, but not last. So as the pair lazily spiraled to the earth, Rael looked around for someone, but not Renegade, he was just to scary for her tastes. So her eyes met Sky's and he quickly walked up to her grinning devilishly as the dragon passion took of hold of Rael. He was older than he had been when Moriath flew her first frenzy, now he was 20ish and his golden-flaxen eyes glinted mischievously as he lead the beautiful queen-rider away. Sargon would have objected, Baeris being a good friend of his, but he was..busy.
Ignois was next to be taken, and their was only one suitor who she would allow to do so, the slate grey Aziriith. Though he wasn't the most worthy, her rider dwon below had caught hold of Dieter, the mysteriously handsome were-wolf. So Ignois allowed herself to be caught by Dieter's slate grey, so that Puntar could have who she wanted. But it wasn't all that bad of a choice, Aziriith was a strong dragon, and a good sire. Or so he hoped...
Moriath had found someone who caught her eye, the ripped winged black Dvsmack. And dropped sideways down allowing the larger black to catch her and as he did she sung him a song in her own draconic tune and he didn't protest, and wouldn't have if he had a choice. This left Zaithyr in the same odd position as Puntar and they glared at each other form across the ways.
Xenoyth also chose her mate diving sideways to avoid a collision with her friend, Rekarlith, and veering directly into the path of the blue-black Tuskai who eagerly grabbed the night green. Puntar wouldn’t' wait for someone any longer and reached out to grab the demon Adrian who for some odd reason didn't fight it, maybe the dragon passion was at work with his cold heart...
It was at the exact moment Tuskai and Xeno twined tails that Diosama had more to worry about than she thought. All thirteen of her heads submitted a roar so loud that everyone, no matter how deeply involved in dragon passion looked up to see what the heck was going on. Two more roars echoed the gold-red's and all weren't surprised to see Fire marked Gizath and Night Bronze Diamadenth chasing the thirteen headed hy-queen.
But Hieyiakana was strong and so was her bond. The gold-red darted through the blue-black night sky her three main heads screaming fury, but she was as easy prey as Paiainith, she gleamed like a hellish star, while her chasers where colors of the night.
What she didn't expect was Xeno and Tuskai right in her path. Out of my way! She roared failing her wings out and seeing that there wasn't a chance Xenoyth was moving, she veered left at the last second. Gizath wasn't so lucky, for once his size was being a hurtful rather than helpful a use and though he tried his hardest he couldn't help it, he collided head on with the night green and black-blue.
You many headed jerk! Xenoyth screeched and below Typhin gritted his teeth, sharing his normally angelic bond's pain. The night green's eyes blazed red and she lashed out, ripping his shoulder.
Gizath growled but his attention was fixed on Diamadenth as he closed in on the hy-queen. Failing his bronze-black wings the Ryslen born single headed night bronze brought down the cruelest flying hydra of the pack. I told you I would catch you hy-queen. But it is only right that Chaos and Hieyiakana find each other tonight. They will get along well... Diamadenth's deep steely voice rang proudly into Diosama's head as she accepted her faith. And in response she said: It is only right, for the only worthy hydras here are my siblings. But you will make a good sire night-bronze...
Down on the ground Hieyiakana's eyes flickered to Chaos as he walked towards her beaming like and idiot. She smiled and rose to her feet, leading him away to one of the unoccupied tents..
Gizath roared his defeat, suddenly noticing the 'scratch' on his left flank. He beat his mighty wings again to keep himself aloft and sought out the night green who found herself being chased by another group of pursuers. Gizath flapped his wings and mustered all his speed concentrating on only the thing that had kept him form his golden-red prize. He shot through the night sky like a ball of fire, growling at Xeno's other suitors and overtaking the night-green in one flap of the wings. Draonic bitch! He growled low in his throat wrapping his tail around hers and spreading his wings out.
Get off me! Xenoyth roared in her mind trying to break free of the male's strong grasp. But he responded in the same manner as before; You caused me to loose and losing is unacceptable, so now your children will be hy-dragons like me! He cackled, seeing this as funny as the night green tried her best to bite at his fingers.
Renegade had found Zaithyr, looking very lonely standing all alone on the banks of the sea waiting for someone, anyone. Later he would claim to be under the influence of dragon passion as he picked up the girl and filled one of the remaining 'unoccupied' rooms.
Kogeki was the next to be brought down, night red Kentrenith had his eyes locked on her and he zoomed in passing Derewith in his pursuit. He grabbed onto her being careful to avoid her sharply pointed horns and red tipped scorpion tail. Jayden glared at Vale and he backed away accidentally bumping into his pregnant Fiancé. Vainia glared at him as she pulled him away from the rest of the activity.
Saddened but not defeated red Derewith realized that he had just flown into the path of silver-black-violet Yubinath. Seizing the moment and grabbing her for all she was worth he quickly twined his neck around hers without realizing he had just left Vino and Jayden in a very odd position. Influence by what was happening by their riders above, they quickly walked away perhaps to an unoccupied room, everyone was paying attention to what was happening to the right instead. Everyone except for Paveh who had found Stu...
The other hy-queen and perhaps the more experienced of the two, Diamis, was running at full speed through the fields towards the woods trying to out run the two flying males. Mchawith and Wraakth, and the saving grace they weren't going at it like Daimadenth and Gizath, their riders, Bekirol and Kitai. That was also the only reason why this place hadn't gone up in flames yet, for Kitai had to promise Sargon that she would keep Bekirol under control if she wanted Wraakth to partake in this Rayllomain "breedathon".
She was fast but her flying suitors where quicker and it was Mchawith who decided he wanted her worse of the two and dropped down, folding his massive black wings over her just as she reached the edge of the forest. Hy-queen you are mine! He bellowed cackling as Bekirol realized that everyone wasn't kidding when they called dragon passion influencing.
So it shall be, you didn't look like you had the strength in you at first glance hy-dragon. Diamis crooned twining one of her many tails around her successful suitor.
Wraakth veered up and chose another to chase, green-red Necra, who was being pursued by Flux. Deciding that he should chose to keep the hydra line free of 'impurities' he built up his speed and flew under Flux and clutched onto the 6 headed hy-dragon from below, Necra let out a cry of shock as his tail twined with hers.
Varazi looked around for someone, anyone and found Searchrider Kurt's eyes upon her, he glanced away blushing, after all Phantom was chasing Whiserleth and wouldn't be allowed to chase in this frenzy. The black raven haired girl smirked and strode up to the dark blue half demon, why not? no one was watching...
Red-grey Scorched Chaos was in pursuit of the dark teal Sea Depth his many eyes following her as she dipped out of the air and into the now dark blue sea in order to trough him off. He wasn't giving up that easily, he plunged into the icy water after her and took her by surprise as he curled his tail around hers. Below, Darsh had found Tykel, and he didn't seem to mind the fact she was part fox...
But Sea Depth would not be caught that easily, and Scorched Chaos was no swimmer. Just as they earned the surface of the water, she broke away flying right into the path of black-ice Oighreth who was more than eager to twine tails with the pretty swimmer. The gray-red-black hydra was happy though, he had done his 'thing', a few of sea depth's children would be like him...
Rissientenith was being pursued by the few dragons that remained, her storm colored wings beating ferociously to keep them off her tail. It was no use they were much faster. She didn't see the black Zasith who blended perfectly with the night sky until he was upon her, but she didn't deny him, she was kind as her bond below and knew that the black wouldn't have caught another female, he was suited for quicker flights. And he would be a good sire. Rayv took one good look at Vega as Jaquin pulled her away, then back down at his feet. He would have sat twiddling his fingers if Rael hadn't pulled him away...
Rekarlith was being pursued by both of the twin dragons, black-blue Dracoth and blue-black Merlinth. She growled angrily as the lighter of the two zoomed in front of her causing her to halt in mid air, just enough time for the darker, Dracoth to clamp on. Rek snorted and twisted her body, as the darker let go and didn't even have time to think as Merlinith caught on. From the ground K'ma wondered if that was planned, and as Both M'lor and T'lor walked towards her beaming like fools, she knew it was.
Twengith and A lone gold? Wait a second? Gold-just gold PLAIN gold? Where did she come from? Twengith seemed to be wondering the same thing as she cried out angrily, as the gold darted past with all of her suitors, except for one. A slate gray called Aziriirh, son of Moriath. Coming up behind her and taking hold her crooned to her a song like his mother as they spiraled down to the fairy tale shores. It was completely pitch black and had been for a while, but It wasn't mere confusion that brought Dieter and Maranni together.
The lone Beach Shards gold was being pursued by grey-red-black Scorched chaos. As Scorched Chaos grabbed hold of the gold, who Sargon had identified as Nikayath, which he did. Her rider, Ziatana looked around hopefully and found Sky looking at her. She grinned, she barely legal like himself and they waltzed away, avoiding the angry glances of his father.
The last two females flying where the demon-dragon Flux and Odir, the red-black hy-dragon. They where the two last, so in turn they had literally won the frenzy, being the last females standing. But that wouldn't be for long, Diamadenth and Mchwainith rose to chase them down. Mchawith chose Flux and caught her with one mighty sweep of his wings, and Diamadenth chose Odir. Liferia was left with Polona, who really had no problem with the nice looking man, just a problem that her dragon would be the mother of hydragons. She laughed a bit giddily and allowed herself to be taken away by him. Chaos was still with Heiyakanna and Bekirol with Kitai.
And that was the end of it, as everyone finished their 'business' in the tents and came out to meet their dragons as they landed. The queens and females would be staying the sands had been prepared. Both black and white sands would have eggs, Sargon would leave it up to the mother which sands she chose to lay her eggs on. He knew his beloved wife would choose the black sands just to rally up the queens, (who the sands where intended for of course) but again, he could do nothing to stop her, she was one hot headed dragoness.
Chaos and Heiyakanna where the last to emerge and Sargon found that funny seeing that they where one of the first, in. She smirked at his friend and gazed out on the rest of the participants going to congratulate their dragons and dragonesses.
They where an amazing bunch, and their offspring would be equivalent...
