Ack ... this is why Fidei is ALWAYS a pencil drawin'. That's Sairey with him btw, my fursona.

I like this one ... can't remember what it means, though. *shrugs* Fidei's had a gender change! XD There are other pictures in this, but I don't really like 'em so if you want to look you'll have to visit my Side 7 archive.

Esmerelda makes her first appearance, down at the bottom there. Aw. Aren't they a cute couple? Esmerelda gets her final character design. Um ... I was havin' a crisis of faith? Lol.

Not the first pictures; more like the first proper pictures. He's changed a lot, heh. Typical Fidei art: random, crazy poses on lined paper. Yay. Picture I did for a friend of a friend. Fidei says: "Out. NOW."

Fidei and Esmerelda are two of my favourite characters. They seem to be quite popular with other people too, which is odd considering they're probably the most twisted things I've come out with so far.

Fidei was the first to be created - in an A/S History lesson, no less. Yeh, I spent most of my time doodling in that class. Guess what my grade was. Anyway, he also earned his name from that exciting section of my life: Fidei Defensor, which is his full name, means Defender of the Faith. I guess I was being sarcastic.

In life, Fidei did bad things - mainly because bad things were done to him first. When he died, he was given a chance to atone for his sins and became a fallen angel. The ripped out heart and bleeding wrists were there to serve as a constant reminder of what had caused him to create them, and he was unable to forget the pain that had been caused by and given to him. Over the centuries, it became too much for Fidei's already fragile state of mind. He has forgotten what he was supposed to do. He can no longer feel physical pain, and hurts himself to try and see if he's still real. He is not living, he is not dead. He is just Fidei.

Esmerelda is Fidei's girlfriend. Or ex-girlfriend. Or ex-ex-girlfriend, if you want to get technical. She was the only thing he ever truly loved, so when he caught her cheating on him, Fid did what any psychotic creature like himself would do and killed her. Much later, when he himself died, he brought her back as a zombie. After stitching her up first. Esmerelda has absoloutly no free will of her own, apart from very rare moments when she remembers who she is and mourns all she's lost.

So there you go: my happy, fluffy kitty-kat characters. :) Life's screwed and love hurts, all right? Good.
