The History of The Sarnia Wrestling Alliance

East Sarnia Wrestling, born November 1, 1996 was founded by four young men in the small city of Sarnia, located in Southwestern Ontario Canada. Sarnia: The City That Always Sleeps. Andrew Brake, Chris Sumner, Jason Willemsvandyk, and James Shaw founded the group. The fed started with shoddy competitions in a basement room at Brake's parents home in October `96…very normal "boys will be boys" wrestling. Imitating the men to which we looked up to…and still do. In November these boys took it to a front lawn at Shaw's place and started naming events. The first event was entitled "Neighborhood Brawl."
