Halloween
Halloween
Pumpkins, pumpkins here's
to you
Jack-O-Lanterns, orange too.
What be this some hallowed eve
That makes us marvel and believe
As we watch O'er the window sill
Look to the darkness and the chill.
Searching for our favorite mask
Our favorite trickster to unmask.
Yes, pumpkins, pumpkins there you sit.
With triangular eyes softly lit.
Gathering up the children's glee
These costumes parading past you and me.
A stumbling in the night chilled air.
Stealing the candies, the goodies there.
Yes, Jack-O-Lanterns, Mother Nature meant you
For Halloween and children too.
