manifestation of devastation

 enchanted poetess

A pocket-sized omen

Of mistaken worth

Sold to the wicked

Creating hell on earth

Dire devastation

Heinous Manifestation

For few to see

because all would scorn

Hidden in the flesh

too humble to be worn

 Valiant as a knight

or a phantom’s ghost

Rebuked from the meadows

 and taken from the coast

Night falls on yonder

A quick chill and some dust

blown through our lust

As the stars perspire

They ignite the fire

of the brush in the forest

Oh how sorrowful

We have become

Why did this happen

Where was it from?

Memories erased

And good values misplaced

 Foreshadowing the events

Which are soon to come

 A genocide of innocence

 Disease passed through gum

Our incense’s aroma

Quickly fades to odorous streams

and steamy darkbeams

 Give me the harness

To which I will mend

Where we’ll enkindle our hopes

 And dreams till the end

too quick to ponder
