Real-time. The number of rounds is 20 minus the number of keepers for that season. (See Keeper Rules.)
A team will have 2 minutes to make a selection. If a team does not make their selection within the 2 minutes, their selection will be made for them by the commissioner based on a neutral draft board. This draft board will be shared with the commissioner prior to the start of the draft. A team who chooses a player that had already been drafted, or at a position that player does not play, will still be held to the 2 minute restriction including the initial pick and the correction in the same 2 minutes.
The draft will be held prior to the first game of the NFL season, preferably not sooner than a month before the start of the NFL season.
Teams new to the league will draft after returning teams. New teams will draft in the order that they joined the league. The winner of the previous season’s Bacon Bowl drafts last among the returning teams. The runner-up of the previous season’s Bacon Bowl draft next-to-last among the returning teams. The rest of the returning teams draft in reverse order of their regular-season finish. (See Season-Playoff Rules.)
The draft order shall be serpentine, therefore the team with the first pick in the first round will have the last pick in the second round, etc.
