Raden Mas Said had ever met with another girl beside his wife who was a daughter of Kiai kasan Nuriman named Rara Rubiah. After he divorced his wife he remembered the girl; the girl could become his wife since she was quite pretty. He remembered when she was presenting a cup of tea while he was reading Koran in her house or his teacher’s house. Yes indeed he fell in love with her at that time but he couldn’t reveal because he already married, but not after he divorced; he was a widow and then he was right to approach her.

King Mankunegara I and his follower went to Kiai Kasan Nuriman’s home to ask his daughter to become his wife. But Kiai refused with kind manner because he and his family were just ordinary people; he wasn’t proper to be a father in law of a King. Kiai said, “how people would say if a King married to a girl from village?”

“I precisely want to show this new tradition to every people in Mataram that I am the first King of the other Kings from Mataram Kingdom who married with an ordinary girl from a village”. Said King Mangkunegara I.

“If so, I will ask my daughter, whether she agrees or not with your proposal to marry her”. Said Kiai Kasan Nuriman.

“ Like a dream to hear it, like a dream that moon fall into my lap; Of course I agreed to become wife of King, but with one condition, if every member of Royal Family would have reject me, please let me go back to my father’s home”, said Rara Rubiah to his father and also to her King.

Then the wedding ceremony was going on in the Palace between King Mangkunegara I with Rara Rubiah. Every body was happy with the couple perfect except a few of Royal Family Mataram Kingdom. They regretted the wedding, wedding between a King and a girl from village. They said, “What a shame!”.

King Mangkunegara I convinced his wife that he really love her concerning the regret of a few Royal Family. “Please believe me, I don’t care about their comment; I am a King and they have no right to say no to the choice of mine”, said Raden Mas Said.

King Mangkunegara I still on his political way, chasing away the Colonial Dutch from Indonesia even though he was present in the peace conference in Salatiga.

The King spoke in the event of a meeting between his staff, “The colonial Dutch never want to see peace between the members of Royal Family of Mataram Kingdom as they said but they want to see the reality of Kingdom’s ruin. They were successful to make the Mataram Kingdom are broken apart into three small Kingdoms. They would go forward to the next step of their plan, so we must predict what they would do to us, what their plan to make harm upon us. Is there one of you will give me some advice about that?

Besides they continued to blow hostility feeling among the three Kings so the three Kings would fight each other. Gusti Prabu (the King) would know better how to anticipate their plan, so please tell us what we will do”, said Gatot, the Tamtama of trooper.

“Yes I agree with you Gatot, that is the way the Dutch always do, playing one against another. So I decided to educate every people of Mataram about knowing our concept the way to be a good citizen. The concept of thinking has name “Tri Darma” and I command to all of you to educate this concept to every body starting from your own family. The Tri Darma contained concept of thinking, 1. Every people must have his or her own country, 2. Every people must take care his or her own country. 3. Every people must have courage to say and do the right thing. By the way I believe every people, including the Prince and the Princess as well as King himself would do good service to his or her country. Remember this country is yours, not just mine”, said King Mangkunegara I

All of the audience interested in King’s explanation, and they believe that the King would never betray his own word he will do good service to his country. They remembered what the King had done when he commanded the little trooper; He was ready to be killed by enemies for the country, so he demonstrated his own word at that time.

Up until now the Mangkunegaran Kingdom still exist and Indonesia Government has given a honor to the King Mangkunegaran I as National Hero because his effort to drive away the Colonial Dutch from Indonesia.
